Great Sermon! This sermon will remind men what is required of them. So many of this world's ills would be done away with if men would endeavor with all their might to do God's will from the heart. God's will is not a secrect, it is revealed here from the Scriptures. Jesus is our greatest example, He yielded Himself to God's desires in everything, even going to the cross and drinking the full cup of God's wrath. It was what He was called forth to do, to die to Himself and live unto the Father's will. God's men have a calling from the Father also, I hope that it will be their greatest pleasure to pursue it no matter what the cost. Everyone can benefit from the lessons taught in this sermon not just men. Women need to do everything within their power to help men in their roles, especailly their own husbands. Would you not do everything in your power to have helped Jesus in anyway possible? Do women not do harm to the casue of the gospel when they hinder their husbands? Singles choose your mates carefully.
Shocking Sermon! I hope this sermon sends shock waves through Christendom, to the saving of God's people, and the glory of His unsearchable love with which He loves us.
Great Sermon! Rev Marquedant
Thank you for drawing out so many lessons for today's Christian in this account of Ahitophel. As you say, a sad story of faithlessness, murderous intent and probably personal ambition. The deliberate way he ended his life as you say is a chilling parallel to those who are out of God's will yet who are used of Him.
You have brought out many things in what was to me a relatively obscure story in Scripture.
Super Great Sermon! This message is needed in every pulpit around the world. I praise God for this Pastor's faithfulness to preach the truth of the one true God in all His glorious sovereignty. May the Lord be pleased and exalted and may He bless this message to all who hear.
Great Sermon! We can never learn or hear enough of Martin Luther, what a blest servant of God He was. I look forward to meeting him someday in eternity, where no doubt he is still serving our great God. How wonderful is that?
Great Sermon! I can't stress enough how important this message is to believers who are walking with unbelievers. Please listen and value what God has to say.
Great Sermon! How many times have you ever heard of Zecharias' hymn of praise? This sermon delves right into it. I love this sermon and was blessed to learn more of our great God and how he worked through His people, to accomplish His purposes, so long ago. Praise to God that He is still at work in His people.
Great Sermon! I'm so glad this Pastor decided to go over this passage of Scripture verse by verse and not pass it by. This is really all we know of Mary, these words from her own heart, they speak volumes about her knowledge and love for God. I notice in Mary and Abigail that they were both women who were well taught about the things of God. When Abigail speaks to David she is very aware of who he is and what his future holds. 1 Samuel 25:28-31
Great Sermon! You will love this sermon. I did, in fact I was very disappointed that Pastor Marquedant didn't have time to finish. I've often read the blessings Jacob gave to his sons but they are hard to understand. I'm happy to have a better understanding of what those blessing meant, and I want to listen to this sermon again.
Great Sermon! This is one sermon, in a series, on the book Pilgrim's Progress, the whole series is outstanding. How good and gracious is our Lord to bless us with such blessings, as these sermons are a great blessing.
Great Sermon! The virgin birth of Jesus is an essential part of the gospel it can't be left out. I think a lot of people don't understand the significance of this amazing truth about Jesus. When I received a proper understanding of the virgin birth, how it fits in the redemptive plan of God, the gospel became so much clearer than before. Now, do I not only have a better understanding of the gospel of Christ, but I'm better able to communicate it to others. I love this sermon and hope that everyone will hear it.
Great Sermon! This is a good sermon, I liked the reading from our confession on effectual calling. And, a blessing to know the great things God did so long ago. The teaching about John being the fulfillment of the Elijah prophecy from Malachi was excellent. This preacher was on fire with this sermon.
Great Sermon! I felt this sermon had a slow beginning, a powerful middle and a dynamic end. It is hard to admit that we were once controlled by Satan, or to see others controled by him. It is a terrifying judgement when God gives a man over to his depravity, not to the lost man because he is ignorant, but to us who have been saved, it is most awful. Amazing grace, that some of the very souls who were controlled by Satan and given over to the depravity of their hearts are sometimes the very elect of God!!! This is a good sermon, it is the gospel of God and His precious Son. I like the comparison of Luke 13:10-17 to spiritual realities. The point made about the extreme hardness of the religious leaders in Jesus day, those who actually witnessed His miracles yet didn't believe, gave me pause to think.
Great Sermon! This is a very good sermon, I hope many people will hear it. I personally feel that this topic is not taught enough today in most churches and really needs to be.
Great Sermon! If this fisrt sermon on the book of Luke is reflective of what is to come then we are in for a tremendous blessing. I'm looking forward to the study of this book, verse by verse. I marvel at the beautiful flow of God's word from Malachi to Luke to Acts. The observations about inspiration were very good. Everything about this sermon is very good.
Great Sermon! Simple, Sloth, Presumption, Formalist and Hypocrisy, wow, what a group they are. We all come across these types of professing Christians from time to time, we may even have frinds or family members that are such. It's fearful to think that we may even be one of them and not realize it. I love this whole series, sometimes it is easier to see things from the outside. Perhaps that is why Pilgrim's Progress has been such a cherished story through the years becasue we can see progressive sanctification from a different point of view. Sometimes it's hard to see when we are assailed or in the thick of battle ourselves.
Great Sermon! The question is where does the Olivet Discourse(Matthew 24; Mark 13 and Luke 21) fit into Peter's eschatology in chapter 3? That is a good question and this sermon has the answer. I hope a lot of people will listen and think about it. The sermon "The Second Coming" goes along with this sermon and is also very good.
Great Sermon! God's gift of faith to His people is most precious and powerful. This is a very good sermon, the application is so helpful. I'm learning that I need to use the shield of faith in times of attack, but what does an attck look like, how can I recognize it? This sermon answers that question and much more.
Great Sermon! I'm making another comment on this sermon because this passage of Scripture is so often misunderstood. I'm hoping that others will be blessed by this teaching as I was.
