Great Sermon! This sermon was such an encouragement to me. We must always keep our eyes on Jesus for we are prone to wander. Oh, the beauty of His holiness was a sight to behold. Great Sermon! Thank you Pastor Curley!
Great Sermon! What a blessing it is to have the word of God and to gain understanding through His Holy Spirit as God uses such dedicated preachers!! The entire series has been such a blessing to me. I recommend it to anyone who wants to truly understand Jesu's words to his people.
Great Sermon! It's amazing how the things of the world keep changing but man's nature doesn't, apart from the Holy Spirit of God. There truly is nothing new under the sun. This is a very good sermon.
Great Sermon! I've never heard a sermon on the Prodigal Son like this one, I like it a lot especially the remarks made about the elder son, they are very insightful.
Outstanding Sermon! What a faith building sermon and great encouragement. I can't believe how much Scripture is covered here. Thank you Pastor Marquedant, yes we need to count the cost and be ready for whatever may come. Hearing sermons like this strengthen us to that end. Praise to our Lord that we are not alone, He is with us. He went alone to drink the cup of God's wrath, but we will never be left alone. What love!
Great Sermon! All praise to God that He has sent out His Spirit to call forth all the outcast to His banquet! I'm glad to know what Jesus meant when He called Herod a fox. It's also sobering to know what our Lord's silence before Herod meant. What a terrifying judgement when the Lord remains silent before a sinner. Great Sermon!
Great Sermon! "Zechariah is a mysterious book to many, but, like the Book of Revelation, a blessing will come to those who read it, and understand it." Pastor Marquedant wrote that in his sermon overview and it's true, I'm beginning to see Jesus more than ever before in the book of Zechariah. What a blessing!
Great Sermon! Excellent lessons in Zechariah. Pastor Marquedant has opened up this book with clear understanding, not only the period of time this was written but what the whole book is about. This is one series worth following.
Great Study! This is an excellent study of the book of Zechariah. A heart felt thank you to this pastor for taking on such a difficult book. What a blessing!
Great Sermon! My faith was increased by the prophecy of Cyrus in Isaiah 44. I didn't know of that prophecy and I'm strengthened in my faith to see another place where God tells His people the future. Some of the Scriptures mentioned in this sermon where very convicting. I fear I've become dull and sluggish, also hoarding things to myself, like they did. Learning of the judgement God brought upon his people for their lack of zeal was a wake up call for me. God's word is a blessing when it's heeded. I'm encouraged and warned. Praise to God for His mercy through our Lord and King Jesus.
Scary Sermon! This sermon is scary because of the verses being taught. I can't think of anything worse then to hear Luke 13 verses 25 & 27! How horrifying that would be; to think I had a relationship with Christ only to find that He doesn't know me at all. "Narrow is the gate,... many will seek to enter and will not be able." This is a really good sermon and a reminder to keep ourselves unspotted from the world. Thank you Pastor Steve.
Great Sermon! It's important what we believe about the future espcially as far as it influences the present. We will act upon what we believe. I will sometimes tell people that I don't want to get into eschatology because it usually just leads to heated arguments. That's not right. There are some strange views about Israel and the Chruch out there. This Pastor has done a thorough Scripture by Scripture study to show what God's plan for His people through the ages is, including the end. I am, now, better equipped to discuss these things. The imminent return of our Lord Jesus is at hard, may we be ready. Rev. 22:20-21 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
Great Sermon! So many good things to think about from this sermon: Christ's compassion, fruit bearing, importance of the Sabbath, faith healers, and the woman who was healed by Jesus. She didn't ask to be healed, she was a daughter of Abraham, she was bound by Satan for 18 yrs. wow. I love the way this sermon ends. "The Sabbath, a foretaste of Heaven" :) Great Sermon!
Excellent Sermon! Israel and the Church - I've heard so many different teaching about both, some filled with error, some so convoluted they left me perplexed. This Pastor has done an excellent job making plain what God has done and is doing with His people. The remnant principle can't be denied, it's right there in the Scriptures. It's an amazing love that our Holy Father has saved for Himself a remnant, how very merciful He is.
Great Sermon! Luke 15:7 “I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance." All glory to God who saves sinners! Testimonies are a great encouragment, I'm so thankful for the work God has done in these two women, He is glorified through them, and we are blessed indeed.
Great Sermon! It's really sad to think that every person is guilty of coveting. It's probably the first unconscious sin we commit. How very infinite is the depth of God's love to His enemies. How very great our Lord's suffering must have been to pay such a debt. Rom. 12:1-3 comes to mind. Great Sermon.
Excellent Sermon! What is said here about the suffering of Christ is very good. The whole sermon is very good. These verses aren't talked about much, perhaps they should be. I've often made unrighteous jugdments, this lesson has taught me to not be so quick, but to think righteously. It's true that sometimes "we just don't know" why things happen. The statements about "repent or perish" couldn't be more obvious and yet for some reason they seemed confusing to me in the past (probably because I thought there were worse sinners than myself). Verse 49, where Jesus talks about fire, I wasn't sure what he meant by that, I can see now how it flows into the following verses. All of us, born of God, can relate to the division spoken of here, it's amazing to me that our Lord wished it were already started.
Great Sermon! Joseph (5/29/2007) wrote:
“ Amazing Truth! ”
"How amazing it is that Christians, who love God so much, could hate this doctrine."
I for one don't think true believers hate the doctrine. I take Matthew 7:14 quite literally.
Great Sermon! I love the teaching on this Psalm. Nothing brings us closer to our God and our Lord then when we enter into praise of Him. This is such a short Psalm and yet it tells us SO much about what God is doing and what He is like. Another work of our amazing God is that He is able to speak volumes in just a few words. This Pastor has done a good work in expounding this Psalm in just a short Communion message.
Great Sermon! I really have to many comments to make here. This sermon is well worth listening too. What God has created is good, it's awesome. Men and women, as God has made us, are mind blowing! How awesome is a man and how awesome is a woman, when the two are in submission to God (by His grace) then it's super awesome! May God be praised for the work of His hand's for it is indeed very good.
