“ Great Sermon! ”
I thought that Pastor Steve did an excelent job on bring out the important issues of this message, both the material and physical ideas related to the message but also the spiritual. In addressing those who were poor, he applied poverty to material needs as well as poverty to spirital needs. This one is definetly worth listening to.

“ Contrary Sermon! ”
I said that this sermon is contrary because it is so different from what is normally thought or preached. There are so many good things to say about this sermon that it's hard to pick just a few.He talkes about how Jesus veiled His words and why. He shows the difference between the Matthew and Luke accounts. He goes over the meanings of poor, hungry and those who weep and are persecuted. He teaches about blessings and curses. What a compelling sermon on the Beatitudes. There are too many things to mention here.

Sermon:
Controversy on the Sabbath

“ EXCEPTIONAL SERMON! ”
This sermon is outstanding. It's the best I have ever heard on the Sabbath. The Pastor shows how Jesus was restoring the moral principle of the Sabbath. Isa. 58 really brought it home to my heart. All the controversy over the Sabbath is really sad. God meant it to be a day to bless us, a day of rest and celebration, but so many of us have become like the Pharisees who have sucked all the joy out of it and made it a grudging work. Another good comment he said "If everyday is the Lord's day then no day is the Lord's day." The visible miracle of manna that the Pastor talkes about is really good too. I want to listen to this sermon again.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Demon possession, I've often wondered about it because it seemed so common place in Jesus day, and yet it's not today. This is a very good sermon and I hope everyone will hear it. This teaching is like a breath of fresh air from all the misleading information being taught to God's people about demon possession and healing. I liked what the Pastor said about why Jesus told the demons to be quiet. He said something like this "Jesus would not be revealed by the power of hell but by His resurrection." Amen to that!

“ Great Sermon! ”
There is a lot of good information about fasting in this sermon. And, the teaching on the two parables of Luke 5:36-39 is excellent. I'm so very glad that Jesus came for the sick sinners of this world. I'm so glad that He came for me. How good it is to hear God's word!

“ Great Sermon! ”
This Pastor makes a lot of good points on Luke 5:1-26. I so often hear of the miracles of Jesus that I sometimes become hardened to them, to what they say about Him. That's really sad. The ending of the sermon left me speechless, you have to hear it. It is so true what was said, how could anyone have walked away that day without falling down before the Savior's feet worshipping Him? How very hard is the heart of man, it is indeed desperately wicked. God's mercy and power, through Jesus Christ, is magnified through His grace to the wicked, dead men who walk the earth. How fearfully great is our God. Jesus saved that one man that day and others walked away and died in their sins and are still even now in torment. Really great sermon.

“ Great Sermon! ”
I love what this author says about faith. He says that faith is the fruit of Christ purchase. I love faith being described that way. He is the vine and we are the branches, we can do nothing apart from Him. This series on justification has refreshed my soul, and brought a joy to my heart. I'm so grateful for Benjamin Keach and this body of work that he did so long ago and the blessing it continues to pour out upon everyone who hears it. Something else he wrote was "Would you cleanse yourelf of your sins and then come to the fountain of His blood to be washed? So many people think they need to clean up their lives before coming to Chirst, that is really a big misunderstanding of the gospel.

“ Important Doctrine full of comfort ”
There was a time when I hated this doctrine, but it is full of comfort to the tormented soul and a Christian who wonders if God will take care of them and the matters which come at us.

“ Recommend with reservation ”
We agree doctrinally with what was said, but this can hardly be described as a sermon, because it had no text and the scriptures were not being expounded. For the truth to be convicting, we must have it brought forth from God's word, and not from a confession of faith, as valid as confessions of faith may be. Genuine Christians who have not been brought to see these truths are hardly likely to give credence to the doctrines of grace presented in this manner. The speaker, it seems to us, was speaking to those who already hold to the doctrines of grace. We need clear scripture exposition to counter the arguments of those who deny the absolute sovereignty of God if we are ever to convince doubters!

Just as Paul's teachings never go out of date, this sermon is as timely as ever. Thank you, Pastor Jeff, for bring these sermons to life again so that we may become familiar with those who long ago preached what should be preached in pulpits today.

“ Very Well Done Sermon ”
For the arminian baptists and non-denom. believers out there, I would encourage you to play this sermon as it is very well done. Although I prefer more of a biblical exposition during sermons, as texts are used in the support of preaching the Gospel, the minister tells you upfront he will not be using Scriptures to outline his arguments to walk the listener through this difficult doctrine. He does a great job and although we would disagree on the doctrine of baptism and form of church government, I can give the Lord glory for our unity on this doctrine we hold called predestination and the total sovereignity of God. What a great sermon for the independent or baptist Arminian believer who would never listen to a Presbyterian or other Calvinist preacher. Here you be...go get'em JD, Yamil and DB! Let's role...

“ Great Sermon! ”
Thank you Brother Marquedant for teaching this difficult yet truthful doctrine. I, for one, love this doctrine because it represents the absolute sovereignty of God. How worthless I am and how thankful to be a recipient of God's Grace throught the Lord Jesus Christ.

“ Great Sermon! ”
A call to Christians, those who are called by His name to humble themselves, turn from sin and pray. This sermon is a good exposition of 2 Chron. 7:14. Are we a nation that God will heal? One who fears God, shuns sin, and stands firm on the word of God? Good questions to ask ourselves, this sermon is convicting and encouraging.

“ Great Sermon! ”
There is noting more refreshing to my soul than to hear of God's righteousness in salvation. You will absolutly love this teaching. Benjamin Keach has done an excellent job on what is the very core of the Gospel. An absolute essential doctrine that we all must understand. Part 2 is also very good. I can't wait to hear parts 3 and 4.

The Real Temptations of Christ

“ Helpful Sermon! ”
This sermon made me cry out to God to change my desires. Oh, that I would be one in desire with Him, as Jesus was, is my prayer. We are indeed led by our desires that is why this sermon is so helpful in the fight against temptation. This Pastor always puts so much information into his sermons, taking my mind to think of things I would never think of. For instance, the following examples: Jesus' trial was brought about by the Holy Spirit; there were more than just three temptations; Satan has succeeded in tempting every human being ever to live, except one, Jesus; there are lies in the Bible, on and on. The application is very good too.

“ Timely Message! ”
This is an excellent message especially it light of what is going on in the world today. There is no chosen nation, the church, the remnant, is the Israel of God. The teaching from Romans 9,10 and 11 makes this clear. You have to hear it before making a statement that Israel is God's chosen nation. It's good to know what gospel John the Baptist preached. I think if you asked most people what he preached they would say repentance but his message was much more than that. This sermon also answers the question as to why Jesus was baptized. The teaching on the genealogy of Jesus was very good too.
