“ Great Sermon! ”
Internet: FACESHNOOK: people think they are shnooks if they dont have a good time, and think their friends are having it better from their profile SPITTER: another problem, when people use their slashtags, or 'sharps' to condemn others BOO TUBE: another problem, when people punch others, think its funny, and record it INSTASHAM: when people take doctored pictures, or stick their picture on another persons head, thanks to PHOTOCHOP... I SAY THIS because no one ever talks to one another anymore--and don't forget txtn, which is making young people try to txt a business letter for a new job...? could millenials be the last generation?

I agree 100% with chefjim! To even talk of such things is shameful for disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. What a low ebb we are in!

“ John Calvin's Mature View On Resistance To Tyranny ”
The following quote speaks of John Calvin's mature thinking about resistance to illegitimate civil rulers. "One factor behind this rising tension was that Huguenot political rhetoric had required a decidedly anti-royalist tone during the second and third civil wars. While Calvin’s Institution of the Christian Religion seemed to suggest that private citizens owed their obedience even to an ungodly king -- only lesser magistrates could legally oppose the authority of a wicked king -- his biblical commentaries published late in his life offered more intriguing possibilities. In his Readings on the Prophet Daniel first published in 1561, Calvin argued that when Daniel refused to obey King Darius, ‘he committed no sin’, since whenever rulers disobeyed God, ‘they automatically abdicate their worldly power’. Calvin went even further in his Sermons on the Last Eight Chapters of the Book of Daniel published posthumously in 1565. Describing the same biblical incident, Calvin argued that when Kings defy God, ‘they are no longer worthy to be counted as princes… [And] when they raise themselves up against God… it is necessary that they should in turn be laid low’." - Mack P. Holt, The French Wars of Religion 1562-1629, (New York: Cambridge University Press, 1995, 2005), p. 78.

“ John Knox On Resistance To Tyranny, Ungodly Gov. ”
John Knox was also very clear about what the Bible teaches regarding qualifications for civil rulers. "No manifest idolater, nor notorious transgressor of God's holy precepts, ought to be promoted to any public regiment [i.e. government—GLP], honour, or dignity, in any realm, province, or city that has subjected itself to his blessed evangel". - John Knox, from "Summary of the Proposed Second Blast of the Trumpet" (1558), as cited in Greg Price, Biblical Civil Government Versus The Beast; and The Basis for Civil Resistance -- free online book at http://ow.ly/l9G2i or http://www.swrb.com/newslett/FREEBOOK/GPrice.htm

“ Rutherford On Resistance To Tyranny, Ungodly Gov. ”
One of the Scottish Commissioners to the Westminster Assembly (and one of the best theologians, by God's grace, in the history of the Church), Samuel Rutherford, wrote, "I lay down this maxime of Divinitie; Tyranny being a worke of Sathan, is not from God, because sinne either habituall or actuall, is not from God; the power that is, must be from God; the Magistrate as Magistrate, is good, in nature of office, and the intrinsecall end of his office, Rom. 13:4. for he is the Minister of God for thy good; and therefore a power ethicall, politick, or morall, to oppresse, is not from God, and is not a power, but a licentious deviation of a power, and is no more from God, but from sinfull nature, and the old serpent, then a license to sinne." - Samuel Rutherford, Lex, Rex, or the Law and the Prince (1644, on the Puritan Hard Drive)

“ WHAT?! ”
We need a new name for a person who actually follows Christ. "Christian" is too broad a term now-a-days and includes tattooed, pierced, partying, fornicating, worldly hedonists. I like to imagine that Jesus is sitting next to me. I ask the question, would I take Jesus into this movie theater with me? If the answer is no, and it should be, don't go! IF the answer is yes, you are desensitized to the world. Period. I don't know what kind of Christian likes H-wood movies especially NEW H-Wood movies. Kevin said it best when he said 95% of so called Christians still go to H-wood movies, hence the need for a new name for saved people. I can't figure out how any Spirit filled Christian could go and PAY money to sit and be "entertained" by this garbage and that is what it is, all of it, GARBAGE. Take your $20 (is that what a movie cost? I don't know, I haven't been in a movie theater in almost 20 years. The last movie I paid to see was Titanic and that was only because everyone, even church members said it was good. I didn't like it)and give it to the poor.

Thank you for this program! My husband & I found it to be extremely interesting and informative. It was fascinating to hear how the various countries lined up on the Evil Index. I would love to see the Index in full if you can find the time to post it online!

“ Great Program! ”
The discussion on the Biblical definition of love (I Corinthians 13) given by Dave and Kevin alone makes this program worth listening to repeatedly and downloading. It can never be stressed enough that love requires sacrifice, commitment, obedience, compromise (not in a sinful sense), and so on. Feelings ebb and flow constantly and are a poor foundation for marriage, love, and relationship. Please continue to yield to God in obedience so He can use you further for the great work of the Generations Radio program!

A wonderful display of God's sovereign grace. It also brings home the importance of patience, gentleness and scriptural wisdom in conversation with non-believers. A gteat programme and a great blessing. substitutedlife.blogspot.com

I feel sad about Doug Phillips as well, since he tries to be a gentleman. I just wish he practiced what BILLY GRAHAM did: NO WOMAN EXCEPT HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTER with him, or have at least TWO WOMEN together so you wont be alone with one. That is such a BIG TRAP!!

Years ago, people used to like Trick or Treating because it was a way to let people see their neighbors, when they havent seen them during the summer and the kids were SOOO CUTE with their costumes..UNTIL the DRUG SCENE BECAME MAINSTREAMED IN THE WESTERN WORLD!!.. soon after, the kids lives would be in danger, with razorblades in apples, brownies with THC on them for them to eat. etc.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Rom 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Rom 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Rom 1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. very clear that Gods values did not change about this subject. Anyway thanks for the sermon, as a Body of Christ church we have different stances on some issues but this was needed and appreciated. Best to you all Pastor Dave

sorry ran out of room.... do not condemn others who use other versions. We just compare them to the KJV and where we see an issue we go with the KJV. Now... I hoped to hear you speak on Romans chapter 1. This truly does condemn gay marraiges and all things homosexual making them understand the things they do are worthy of death.... without excuse: Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one

I think your issues with homosexuality are right on. I would add however a few things. 1. Jesus said "I have followed my fathers commandments ..." then he said something very important... Like I followed my fathers commandments I want you to follow my COMMANDMENT.. one commandment not the law.... that one commandment... love one another as I have loved you... WHen taking this into consideration and also everything He gave to Paul to give to us like Romans chapter 4 we learn that as far as being made right with GOd we are not under the law.... does this mean that God's law is void? No it is there to show us the moral values of God and is the measuring stick for us to understand how very short we fall from that set of values... hence we need a savior. I always am very careful to make sure my congregation understands these things. Salvation todya is not about following the law it is about resting in the one who did it for us.. the Lord God Christ Jesus. since we were and still are not able to be sin free this is an ongoing thing hence Romans chapter 8 final 2 verses and Acts 13:38,39. All things means all things friends.... I am not telling you Homosexuality is correct and I certainly am one of those KJV only guys for very real reasons. However I do not condemn those that use ot

Good overall message. Driscoll however, is another story. He was caught flat out lying about the strangefire conference. He claimed his books were confiscated by security, but you can go on youtube and see a video of him clearly telling security that the books were his gift to them and that he wished for them to take them and do whatever they'd like to with them. Driscoll flat out lied and was caught. Doesn't sound like a man seeking unity. He is a pastor in the public spotlight so he needs to publicly confess and repent. His strangefire appearance seemed like nothing more than a PR stunt to promote himself and his book. Love the program guys.....keep up the good work

“ Well said, pastor!!!!!!! ”
You are brave. When I saw this title, I felt amazed because these days it is rare to listen to the Truth. So many so-called "believers" are deceiving others and themselves as well. They are ignoring God's words, and simply do not care what God actually said(and still says). Instead, they are trying to satisfy people. Thank you pastor! please keep going on! We are all imperfect, but as we confess our sins and try to choose the righteous road, God's way, then we all will His enter the Kingdom. However, if we insist the crooked way is the right one, we cannot be forgiven and delivered. May the Lord forgive all of us and lead us to his righteousness!

I enjoyed the substance of what you discussed. I wished you had selected another author to approach the subject through than this one. It seemed like there was an elephant in the studio with you the whole time.
