Great Sermon! Another good message from Pastor Borgman.Give it a listen - for Christian History info and/or a bit of info on "Montanism". { No- not Montanans ;) } Wow! Date-setters and self-annointed/self-proclaimed Prophets/prophetesses centuries before the Millerites/ J.W.'s /Mormons/ and the Pentecrazies on TV. 2Tim. 4:3.
Great Sermon! Good message - Good lesson. The Pastor learned much from his schooling and passes it on well to the people. Covers much basic info showing that ancient heresies are still alive and trying to ruin Christians and Christianity. I'll listen to Pt. 2.
Great Sermon! A bottom line sermon...the essence of how a heart can be changed. I love this sermon and hope others will listen and be equally encouraged by it. Thank you pastor Brian
Great Sermon! This is just what we need to hear, with the world being in such an uproar. Fear tends to grip people. Especially when there are no clear answers being given. Trust in the Lord is the ONLY answer. Not looking from our eyes, but, from Gods perspective.
Excellent! This was excellent! Very rich in information, covering many aspects of dispensational theology, with very good and clear biblical argumentation.
Great Sermon! Anointed message, convicting and empowering, definitely the Holy Spirit's rebuke and exhortation. Enjoyed the whole series on self control.
Great Sermon! No games! Prophetic, anointed message about our duty to exercise self control. Obviously the Spirit will empower us but we must submit and surrender to his leading. We participate in his sanctification work and we must diligently pursue it.
Great Sermon! Another great sermon one that takes our minds out of the clouds and directs us to applying the Word of God practically in our every day experience. Plan on listening to this whole series
Great Sermon! Thank God for a message such as this. I wish all of my friends could hear such exaltation of Christ that's done in this sermon. Listen and you will be blessed!
Great Sermon! If a Christian wife biblically divorces her Christian husband, marries another Christian, unbiblically divorces him and remarries her first husband and they repent of all of their sins, who's she biblically married to? Who must she live with? Significant topic!
Great Sermon! Before the legal "ball and chain" was cut in the late 1960s, divorce was quite rare. Now it's reported to be 50%, even in churches. Since it apparently wasn't the Bible which created all of these unyielding laws protecting marriage, what's the origin of Holy Wedlock? Good talk.
Great Sermon! Thankyou Brian, I am a Calvinst, I love Jesus and I am not stern but filled with the joy of the Lord. Great message but when you said that about Calvinst, I think you have the wrong idea about them. I dont call myself a Calvinist but I like John Calvin and the sovereignty of God in all things.
The Danger of Worldly Diagnosis/Philosophy The troubled spirits of Cain & Saul were from hateful envy, unlike David. Depression is not an excuse to avoid truth-telling, self-examination, or indulging in personal sin. It might even be the *unrighteous expression* of legitimate provoked sorrow (Elijah), or anger turning to wrath, "going off" (Moses), tempting to retaliation (David with Nabal). Envy, unjust anger, suicide, self-destructive behavior, or revenge the Bible prohibits. The world's philosophy is to make "emotional well-being" their Chief End, and so they teach all to avoid the truth, just "move on", suspension of convictions, pursuing pleasure or industry as distractions to remedy. Thus guilt-ridden Cain, says Matthew Henry, turned his trouble-driven conscience ("more than I can bear") into building cities and industry, while remaining impenitent of Abel's murder, the reason for the shameful "mark" on him. Thus the worldly make *personal happiness* their pursuit by indulging the flesh, "let us eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die" (anesthetized living) instead of turning from sin in repentance and living "soberly, righteously, godly in the present (evil) age" (Titus 3). Jesus warned up front that being a true disciple might cost family and friends, broken relations (Luke 14), not peace with all.
