Jim is not my enemy, he is God’s enemy. I don’t know Jim personally and he has never done anything to me or my loved ones; so he can’t be my personal enemy. He is also not my neighbor. A neighbor is someone that I know personally or someone who lives in my community. Someone I can personally interact with. There is a time to love and a time to hate. 2 Chronicles 19:2 “And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.” Ezra 9:12. “So now do not give your daughters to their sons nor take their daughters to your sons, and never seek their peace or their prosperity, that you may be strong and eat the good things of the land and leave it as an inheritance to your sons forever.” Proverbs 5:5 The boastful shall not stand before Your eyes; You hate all who do iniquity. 6 You destroy those who speak falsehood; The LORD abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit. Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, But those who deal faithfully are His delight. 1 Samuel 2:25. "If one man sins against another, God will mediate for him; but if a man sins against the LORD, who can intercede for him?" |

A public forum is public by definition. All forums set up rules that must be obeyed. In the case of SA, most of us realize they do monitor in several ways to ensure those rules are not broken. I personally have never seen them deny an IP because someone broke the rules. And since I go back so many years I think I have seen it all. I agree with them for allowing Jim to post even though as far as I know no individual thinks Jim is a Christian. There are some who don’t believe I am, but none believe he is. At the same time, I think it would be wonderful if he simply went away. My guess is he is into black liberation theology which we all know is a cult. The fact that he tolerates so much criticism, IMO means he is also likely a paid troll. There is no litmus test to joining this forum. And I do thank SA for deleting so many of his posts. |

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.The devil coyly uses the terms, women’s health and emancipation to drive the abortion agenda. His real agenda is to promote promiscuity and appease the inconvenience many women feel a baby brings. And his ultimate goal is to murder those born the image of God. Well my taxes are already going to PP to the tune of over 500 million. My guess is this satanic agenda for tax paid abortion will indeed come to pass. To me the below verse says it all: 2 Corinthians 4:4 “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” All those who support or promote abortion in any sense are guilty of murder in the eyes of God. |

John Lee wrote: If persecution in the states causes the word of faith, health and prosperity hawkers to crawl back under their rock, it will have served a useful purpose. Yes brother John, persecution can certainly cause the wheat to be separated from the tares. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to be persecuted, but if it happens those that are should praise the Lord. Matthew 10:34. "Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35. "For I came to SET A MAN AGAINST HIS FATHER, AND A DAUGHTER AGAINST HER MOTHER, AND A DAUGHTER-IN-LAW AGAINST HER MOTHER-IN-LAW; 36. and A MAN'S ENEMIES WILL BE THE MEMBERS OF HIS HOUSEHOLD. 37. "He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. Matthew 5:10 “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. 12 “Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. |

Adriel wrote: “”A pastor in northeast India has been rescued after a gang of radical Hindus locked him in a room and left him to die”” God had him rescued which means HE still has work for him to do. May God continue to use him in the villages. May his work bear fruit for Christ Jesus. Amen. Well said Adriel! The below shows how much Paul wanted to depart this world, but why that wasn’t the Lord’s plan at that time. Philippians 1:19 for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, 20. according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. 21. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22. But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose. 23 But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better; 24. yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake. 25. Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy in the faith, |

Sunnyday wrote: When I was pregnant with my 3rd child I had a test come back saying he has spina bifida. My doctor advised terminating because the child would need a lifetime of care. Took doctors advice and terminated the doctor. My son did have some minor neurological problems but had excellent medical care to overcome them. The child is now a combat medic and is going to school to become a Physician's Assistant. As it turns out my son ended up saving my life when I was choking and had zero ability to breathe. We serve and awesome God! Praise the Lord! What a great testimony. |

John Lee wrote: Kieron, if you stick around long enough, you will see that this SA forum has limits placed on what you may or may not post. Therefore, although Free Speech is held by SA, it is not Free Speech without limits. For example, certain words and names are held by SA software or database, and if you attempt to post using those words or names, your whole post will be rejected. This is only common sense. You cannot permit absolute freedom to speak or post using swear words for example, or make threats against other posters. You may not put bomb-making information in your post nor anything that is likely to cause an upheaval. Have you not noticed that some posts are removed by the moderators? There is such a thing as etiquette on a Christian board. Absolutely perfect brother. And we can't yell fire in a crowded movie theater. And there are many more things like lying under oath, etc. |

John Lee wrote: Matthew 2:9 KJV (9) When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. Whatever this thing was, it was capable of standing, and presumably also sitting. It could move at will, and travel great distances. Pilgrim,Why couldn’t the Lord simply allow these men to see the star the way they did; as a guide. IOW, the star moved “for them” and the Lord helped them follow it. Yes, this would be a miracle, but there is nothing difficult for the Lord. When they got to the manger, the Lord said stop, you are here. Or an angel from heaven helped them navigate using the star. Of course the Lord didn’t need to use a star, but He did. Saying it was solely an angel doesn’t detract from the meaning, but it changes what was said. An angel would have been just as miraculous. Just because we don’t understand how or why the Lord used a star doesn’t change the fact that He did. No argument with you or QC, just the musings of an old man. |

Buckeyes wrote: (TMC) @Frank I definitely agree about the more questions than answers! I personally think too many obsess to much over this topic. I really hate both the scammy profiteering by “experts” hawking their latest speculative book and the attitude that any inconveniences to living the Christian Life in the West are surefire “signs of the times” and mean Christ’s return is imminent- but decades of hardcore Christian Persecution throughout history and in other parts of the world somehow don’t “count”. I found this article the other day that sums up my position pretty well: https://gentlereformation.com/2020/12/08/how-do-we-deal-with-the-end-of-the-world/?fbclid=IwAR0YbRGQJwgengYHSbPSFhe2PNpDmemACCt-guEAlo2XFMGAwmw3cl-qx-o Thanks for the additional information and your kindness. I also think that people obsess too much over these kinds of topics. |

John Lee wrote: (20) The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. So a star could be a twinkling thing in the sky, or it could be an angel of a church, which some say is the overseer or elder. And a golden candlestick could be a golden candlestick or it could be a church headed up by Christ the King. Phew! Very good example brother. Someone with a bad hermeneutic would say because the star in Rev. 1:20 was an analogy, then that means the word star “could be” analogous in another verse. I simply yield first to the word and its normal definition and then to the context if necessary. The below 2 verses appear to be talking about a literal star. I admit that some things are clear; Jesus is not a literal door and other things are not. And what QC is pondering might be right, but it is not my hermeneutic. Matthew 2:9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. |

I can't imagine how any government can tell a church how and where they can meet and worship their Lord and Savior.Acts 5:29 “Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.” For those that resist these ordinances: Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. |

John Lee wrote: A natural phenomenon could not have been accurate enough, Quiet Brother. I had not thought of an angel, but that is a possibility, thank you. That could very well be correct. After this interview the wise men went their way. And the star they had seen in the east guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of them and stopped over the place where the child was. Matthew 2:9 NLT Pilgrim, I think you and I agree on this issue. If the bible says a star, then I will assume it meant a star. IOW,"when possible" we should take what is literal as literal and not spin it away. The best example is the big bang theory. Science says it started with matter the size of a pin. Isn’t there something like 100-125 billion galaxies with each containing approximately 100-200 billion stars? Now that must have been one big bang! |

Wayfarer pilgrim wrote: I really don’t understand anything that would cause one to decide to alter their secondary characteristics and then say,”I’m a female or I’m a man “. My son is transgender- what they will not say is, when you decide to change for the worse, there will be family members that whoop and hollar their approval. But, since I’ve lost my son, I’m not included in that party. It’s akin to the prodigal son rolling with the pigs and demanding everyone else jump in the pen with him. Sin makes you miserable. I understand what you are saying brother. The pain belongs to us, not them. Society seems to say that if parents reject them, then the parent is guilty of being unloving, but the opposite is true. |

James Thomas wrote: What is the currency in God's economy? Is it not spoken of in Isaiah 55:1-2? I am confused. Why are you asking me a question if you obviously think you have the correct answer? If you have the answer to your question, please post it for me. Isaiah 55:1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight If you believe the above verses somehow do away with mark of the beast and the ability to buy and sell during the tribulation period then IMO you have a bad hermeneutic. As you know, my end-time thoughts are different than yours, so I don't understand your point? Anyway, “to me” this is a secondary issue and "like I said early on"; I have no desire to debate it on the open forum. That is one reason I post my email address. BUT, NO CHRISTIAN WILL TAKE THE MARK. |
