During my Christian walk, I have always considered marriage to be the most sacred of institutions. God made us male and females and told the men to leave all for their wives. Eph. 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

IOW, in spite of what one of our Jezebel’s says, other than Christ, my wife is my number 1 priority in life. And I believe that most of the married men on this forum would say the same thing. We actually become one flesh and marriage becomes symbolic of our relationship to our Lord.

So, satan has always wanted to undermine marriages and that is what we are seeing every day in all countries. The institution of marriage is crumbling right before our eyes!

Come quickly Lord Jesus, come quickly!

I didn't read the article.

I don’t know about Britain, but there was a time in the U.S. when saying you were a Christian was a culturally admirable thing to do. All it meant was you lived a respectable life. Off topic, but I remember my 3rd grade teacher giving out candy to the child who had memorized the most scriptures. Just think about that; a public school!

Anyway, my guess is since there is no longer a cultural taboo assigned to not being a Christian, then simply more people are willing to say it?

Very good and wise comment!

I cannot even fathom someone taking out a loan to go to college. When I was young, if families didn't have money, then they didn't have money. They should learn a trade and work.

Or they could go into the military and get the GI bill.

Yes, the love of money is the root of all evil.

Yes, I understand that if I quote a scripture that is offensive to some, then I am guilty of hate speech. No, what they are saying is my Lord and Savior is guilty of hate speech.

I am firmly convinced that one day Christianity will be illegal. We already have that in practice in many countries, but it will come to us sooner than later.

I agree Chris. It is common for our society to ban anything that remotely appears to be Christian. Tolerance only applies to non Christian things and not Christian. We never hear about Muslim bakeries being sued, but only Christian ones and the list goes on and on.

I’m not all that familiar with Chick-Fil-A’s religious beliefs, but I have never heard of them discriminating against any group.

Our Lord says homosexuality is an abomination in His sight and that is sufficient for me.

1 Corinthians 5:6 “Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?”

Compromising the word of God is simply dummying down the gospel of our Lord. Our churches and the gospel are being defined by our culture instead of the other way around. All who cooperate with this apostasy are guilty before the Lord.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Those who know that I no longer formally attend a church probably don’t realize just how much I am against change that compromises the word of God.

It is impossible for a Christian in Pakistan to witness about Christ or to give a personal testimony without violating the blasphemy laws.

Good morning brother! You and I both know that polls can be manipulated to say what we want them to say. If someone says abortions should be rare, safe and personal, then they are often considered pro-life.

But, someone who believes in abortion on demand would say the same exact thing. No difference.

I didn’t read the article.

My guess is there are very few saying homosexual actions or the condoning of those actions are a abomination in the eyes of God and those that die in those states will undergo His wrath.

Most of society considers those thoughts to be unloving and judgmental. No, they are simply repeating what our God says.

Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination. 23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it [is] confusion.

Deuteronomy 22:5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so [are] abomination unto the LORD thy God.

I hope one day that you come full circle, and realize that straddling the fence with Roman Catholicism just doesn't jive with, and is anti-thetical to biblical Christianity. Very interesting and divisive subject. All of us have a desire to help others who cannot help themselves, but I feel that really isn’t the issue with the migrants we are referring to. The democrats are simply looking for folks who will support them politically and the republicans are simply trying to satisfy their base who consider these folks to be those who just want handouts and are mostly a burden.

But, IMO, neither party really has a legitimate desire to help anyone. IOW, it is all a façade. Now, I am of course not referring to every individual in either parties, but to general truth.

I personally believe that we have laws for a reason. If someone is in this country illegally, they should be arrested and deported. If I was poor and stole to feed my family, I would still be arrested and charged with stealing. I don’t see a difference.

We should either have open borders or apply the law to the ones we have. I choose apply the law.

I understand and agree with your comment. I tried to find some statistic that showed how many families with children at home had both parents working outside the home, but the numbers varied so much I decided to leave it alone. The U.S. culture has changed drastically since WW II. Two incomes, two retirement plans and most want the living standard of two incomes.

Yes, parents should never allow their children to be taught any form of sex education outside the home.

I remember Hillary’s infamous statement that “it takes a village” when raising children. And here we are.

My brothers in the Lord:

If women are not giving truth, then we should correct them and if they still want to argue, we should make our case and if their minds are not changed, then we should tell them and if they still want to argue, ignore them. Arguing with feminists will never work out because many simply want to argue for the sake of arguing (go figure). A feminist will see a strong Christian male as the enemy - period. Weak males are fine though.

Correct and then ignore the evangelical feminists and we will all sleep better.

Now this advice is simply my personal opinion and I cannot cite a biblical verse to prove I am correct. I will not even read any comments by naysayers and of course I know who you are.
