This latest episode hopefully will be the final straw. We know reasonable parents who have spent good money to send their children to this university. Even joking about marital infidelity... What about avoiding all appearance of evil. I sincerely hope that Mr Falwell is led to repentance and wisdom that comes from a deep and sincere faith in Jesus Christ.
I agree with you brother! I remember once hearing a speech by Jerry Falwell Sr. He said that he would wish for his university to be burned to the ground before it became liberal.
Years ago the Jr. invited a famous catholic, Sean Hannity to deliver the graduation speech. Yes, I know Hannity is no longer a practicing catholic, but he has never denounced that cult.
I'm not a big fan of nepotism and this university certainly practices it.
I wouldn't send one of my children there if it was "free".

Brother, I know you very well now and if anything you put me straight on so many things. When I read the Pakistan thread, I thought of you and all those beautiful children you are helping. I know you don't mention it because some that we both know would say you are trying to be puffed up. I KNOW DIFFERENTLY.
John UK wrote: What a thought! Still, at least we know God ordained it before they planned it. Or is that stretching sovereignty and predestination too much?
Brother and fellow pilgrim, I have a rather odd way of looking at something that our Lord has predestinated. Example, the antichrist will in fact be on this earth at the exact moment in history that it was predestined. So, even though that is Godās perfect plan, I will not willingly participate in it. So, if this happens with Biden, then nothing can stop it, but I will not vote for him. If God is orchestrating Biden to be president, then I canāt stop that, but I wonāt be a positive factor by supporting.
I never ponder predestination and simply leave that to Him. And I know that all things will work for our good and for His glory. The below says I will not understand certain things and IMO predestination is one of those things.
Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
This probably made no sense; sorry. Just the musings of an old man. OMI

Your point comes up frequently on this forum. I tend to look at it this way. Probably 100s of people read the posts but they donāt post themselves. That means I will always try to correct someone if I think they might confuse those who are just passing by. Others may have their own reasons for addressing him and I respect them.
I have asked Jim on a few occasions if he was a paid troll and he has never commented.
If he is a troll then exposing his errors is a good thing even if it serves his agenda.
I have spent time in a couple of communist countries. What I noticed was no middle class. The rich remained rich because they joined the party. The regular folks stood in bread lines and couldnāt even get medical care. It takes a while to get there, but they will get there under communism or socialism.
If a Christian annoys the government they are often sent off to labor camps or assigned to work somewhere away from their church and family. Or, they would charge them with crimes they didnāt commit.
The way things are going unless God intervenes we are well on our way to socialism/communism. As we all know, the communist party comes before God, family or any type of worship. The only people who might benefit from this are those who hate our Lord and Savior and want to live without working.

No bet against you brother. Now for a little conspiracy thought. I think that everyone knows that Biden is senile and cannot possibly complete his first term. So the real push will be to remove him from office due to his mental condition. Then we can say we will have first black female as president. This is all a well thought out plan.
Jim will love that because black cultures are matriarchal.
The below was a curse:
Isaiah 3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

The worship of these ancient Canaanite gods has indeed been restored. The judgment of the true God and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, cannot long be coming.

There is, of course, literal Babylon, but that was destroyed centuries ago. And although I donāt agree with MSās view that the mother of harlots is Jerusalem, at least she doesnāt call other peopleās opinion ādungā two or three times per post. MS, you have generally been civil to me and others on this forum, and I apologize for any uncivil things I may have said to you. I was merely trying to make the point that a horse on the road, even a very slow horse, will go further than a horse in the barn, which is to say that the gospel actually being preached has a greater effect than the gospel merely being discussed.
Thanks Tim. I am convinced that Rome is the great whore, but I also understand that others believe it is Israel. I have tried arguing Rome in private email but never succeeded. So many things in scripture are very difficult to discuss on a space limited forum.

Well unless you can give me "any" reason why you would think I lump the ladies together, we will leave it at that.
MS wrote: Frank, I appreciate you wanting to ask questions and not come off as a pompous holier than thou individual. You and I are around the same age and of similar religious backgrounds. (Ex rc). I respect your stance on feminism, and completely concur that it is the predominant evil of our generation and is forbidden by God in His Word. But, from some of your posts you seem to lump the ladies who post here as āevangelical feministsā. Why? This is not a formal corporate worship service of the saints, but a āmixed bagā of men and women expressing their views on a variety of religious news articles. I would like to be able to do that without feeling censured and I in turn will do the same. Perhaps the bristling I project in some of my comments, are a response to the rude and condescending remarks from some of the male posters. You have not been one of them, and have always been respectful. Hoping, this will clear the air and Christian fellowship will once more be restored between us.š
If you can show me any post at any time where I have lumped the ladies together, then I will apologize. I don't understand how you could even think that. I think your comment fills in any blanks that I had. Lump the ladies together!
In the thread that got shut down you posted the following:
āSister lb, I am taking a break from here, as there is absolutely nothing being accomplished but slander, innuendo, harping on nearly every thread about women and their roles in the home and society...I guess trying to make the point of get off this forum ladybug and MS and let us good ole boys continue on with our superior knowledge of the Bible and how great we all art. Take care, sister.ā
I want to understand so my questions are:
When did anyone say that men had superior knowledge over women?
Men and women are equal before out heavenly Father so no one would dare assign greatness to males and not women. Who did this?
Donāt you think that womenās roles in the family are important? If so ā¦
Since I am the one on this forum that speaks out against the feminist movement most often and sincerely, it seems you could have been referring to me? I have been called an unbeliever, a little child on a playground, a follower of the patriarchal movement, but never a good ole boy; I actually had to look that up. :-) I also consider feminists to be evil in all aspects. So, should I not speak out against it without fear of such criticism?

Thanks brother! I think that some in the Muslim faith consider her to be the greatest woman who has ever lived and some believe she was a prophet.
You tied this together better than I could have ever done - THANKS
That just supports "my thoughts" that the Vatican is the great whore. They will mobilize all the false religions of the world to worship the beast.
John UK wrote: Fellow pilgrim, whenever you mention this period of your life, it always causes me to rejoice that you were ever delivered from the Romans. I've not spoken to a great many papists, but the ones I have spoken to show an incredible bondage to what they were taught at an early age. They also seem to relate to the priest almost as if he was God, with power over their lives. Such terrible brainwashing, and then to be told that their children are born Catholics, thus continuing the process. But God, who is rich in mercy.......
Thanks fellow Pilgrim! And lastly, the masses were in Latin and only a priest could give someone absolution. Die with an unconfessed mortal sin and you go to hell. No one ever mentioned reading a bible on their own. I remember asking a catholic apologist why they murdered those who wanted the bible in their own language.
His response was that because they would then interpret it incorrectly. Only the catholic church has the authority to interpret the bible. Salvation is not in Christ, but in the RCC and in Christ. Must have both. They are tricky and use misdirection a lot.
John UK wrote: The pope has given the credit card to six women. Not a good move, your popiness. But then, whatever you do will never be in line with the will of God. The antichrist can do nothing of any good on this earth.
Well said brother! The antichrist will need the support of women and since I believe the Vatican is the great whore in Revelations, this doesn't surprise me.
I remember as a youth praying to Mary so she would tell her son to do what I asked. They taught that no son would refuse his mother's request. They have always supported praying to Mary and others the popes have designated as saints. So this doesn't surprise me.
