The Quiet Christian wrote: Like the HIV/AIDS epidemic was a judgment on the sexually immoral, perhaps this will be a judgment on those who smoke marijuana?
I don’t have a clue, but you could easily be correct. I have only smoked marijuana once and it was while I was drinking heavily, so all I did was vomit. They had marijuana when I was a kid, but I never met anyone that smoked it. When I arrived in VN, I remember little kids coming up to us trying to sell it. I had a top secret clearance and if I had done it, I would have been transferred to an infantry unit – no way.
I remember meeting infantry folks who said they used it when they were in the field. They said it removed any anxiety while maintaining their alertness???
Anyway, I am against the usage of it, but do not understand the complications. One internet article said that up to 55 million Americans use it.
But maybe they are like Bill Clinton, who lit them up, put them in his mouth, but didn't inhale.

I could've told them that without being an expert.
I agree Neil, although I have not spent any time on the models. Why, because my brain doesn’t work that well. But, I have always been told that we can make statistics show whatever we want them to show. And the accuracy of models depends on the presuppositions we use.

Thanks brother for your comments on this subject. I checked the link out and whoever was doing the Christian counseling clearly had the love of the Lord motivating him.

I wonder if even 44 percent of Christians in Wales see this as a sign of judgement calling for repentance. This very week our government forced legalising of abortion on Northern Ireland. We seem to be intent on further provoking the Lords wrath upon our selves as if all this LGBT promotion in schools was not enough. How have we got away with it for so long? But at least the Lord is speaking surely some will listen.
Thanks for your comment! I believe the Lord tests us with prosperity or with tribulation, but His judgment is always with tribulation. So, I also believe His judgment is upon us.

I'm all for biblical womanhood, keepers at home, submissive wives, etc. so don't attack with a pitchfork. I'm against lazy men taking advantage of biblical women. Not necessarily the case in this article. Lots of wiggle room and missing information. My other points stand. If she works, he does too. If he rests, she does too. Double standards are just as wrong as nagging. Of course, he's always free to quarantine on the rooftop.
Well, I don’t blame women for the sinful state of men. I think it is safe to say that from the Garden, men have become less of what God intended and women have become less than God intended.
Your comment was so far off that I actually thought you were being sarcastic. But, it looks like you were serious.
HerbalMama wrote: Feminist are made, not born. Feminists are made at the hands of poor fathers and husbands. Does the husband wear makeup to improve his looks for his wife? Is he changing into nice clothes or lounging around in PJs? Why should the wife be compelled to cover up what God has created for vanity? Isn't that discouraged in the Bible? Is he sitting around playing video games while she's expected to work? Is he tending to a garden or some other form of work? Double standards are not Christ like. Pick up a broom if you have nothing else to do. Work, even domestic duties, is preferred over laziness.
No, a feminist is made because their sinful natures want to be relevant in ways God didn't intend for them to be.
Like Eve, they can also try and escape blame by saying: :"The devil made me do it"

No problem on anything that you said to me that I took or might have taken to be offensive. IOW, I forgive you completely. All of us have stressors that only we know about. I hope your suicidal thoughts are in the distant past now.
To the article.
This pastor is a charismatic charlatan. He is the one that most give credit for starting the “holy laughing” movement.
In the case of rape or incest; the baby has done no wrong so why murder it.
In the case of the mother’s health being threatened by her pregnancy:
"When the life of the mother is truly threatened by her pregnancy, if both lives cannot simultaneously be saved, then saving the mother’s life must be the primary aim. If through our careful treatment of the mother’s illness the pre-born patient inadvertently dies or is injured, this is tragic and, if unintentional, is not unethical and is consistent with the pro-life ethic. But the intentional killing of an unborn baby by abortion is never necessary."
Great Sermon! I was greatly blessed by this message of biblical separation. It is something that gives praise and honor to our heavenly Father. If someone strays from essential truth and refuses to repent, then separation is the only thing available.
President Trump is more interested in getting the economy back than he is about protecting senior citizens. His economic message regarding that didn’t sell well, so now he is trying to say he wants to bring Christians together.
The below is from a Yahoo article:
“Conservative supporters of President Trump are increasingly volunteering to risk death — and implicitly the deaths of elderly and at-risk Americans — from the coronavirus if it will help the economy.”

Thanks brother! And I know that you have given this much thought. All of us will differ somewhat on this subject. All of us will experience different things. But just think, one day we will have perfect understanding of this issue.
Have a great day my fellow pilgrim.
P.S. you are right on the pre-tribulation rapture. I used to debate those things on the forum, but now will only do it via email. There is no pre-tribulation rapture.
This area of Christianity is certainly intriguing. Here are some of my thoughts. If a missionary has been sent by the Lord to a dangerous area, then the Lord will either protect him from “any and all dangers” or He will permit him to be killed. IOW, if they are bitten by a poisonous snake, it will not harm them unless the Lord “allows it”. Nothing is difficult for the Lord.
During my travels, I have seen the Lord work in contemporaneous ways that cannot be humanly explained. And, during those same travels, I have seen the Lord not do the things I prayed about and expected.
So, I simplify my thoughts this way. It is my responsibility to pray and ask the Lord for something "in faith". It is His responsibility to say yes, no or later. I do my part and of course He will do His. I am the slave; He is the owner. My faith should not be affected by His response.
Lastly, if our heavenly Father doesn’t answer prayers, then He is not God. If He answered all my prayers in the manner I asked for, I would quickly become someone who thinks they can order God around; like a genie. So, I am against Deism and Charismania.
Hebrews chapter 11 said the world was not worthy of those that were martyred.
Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
Isaiah 42:8 I am the LORD: that [is] my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
2 Kings 18:4 He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan.
Isaiah 42:8 I [am] the LORD: that [is] my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Habakkuk 2:18 What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols? 19 Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it [is] laid over with gold and silver, and [there is] no breath at all in the midst of it.
Throughout history Christians have been persecuted and murdered. They are deprived of their living standards and all they do is love their enemies and present the gospel of forgiveness and eternal bliss.
I have often pondered someone being tied to a stake during the inquisition and unless he recanted and paid homage to the catholic mass, he would be burned to death. I try to picture his wife and children in the crowd knowing what was happening and the consequences to them. But, I have never been able to even remotely comprehend the significance of those things.
In a Muslim’s mind, Christians must either convert (utter their magic words), die or in some areas pay an infidel tax.
Adriel wrote: ""The European Court of Human Rights has refused to take up the case of two Swedish nurses who were denied midwife jobs"" The European Union is rabidly Liberalist. The "Human Rights" which they bring to society is discriminatory to those who still have normal traditional moral values and ANY Christian association. The EU is part of the predicted New World Order and Satan is not going to allow ANY part of that evil league to step beyond that depraved state. Abortion is the murder of the unborn child and an abomination to Christian ethics.
Thanks for your thoughts! They are right on and all I can say is: Come quickly Lord Jesus, come quickly.
