Right! Think of all of the prophets who opened their mouth about sin and suffered for it. Some think they should have just kept their mouths shut. No doubt Peter made it worse for Christians because he spoke up and it's actually his fault that Saul even had to go out and prosecut all of the nut job Christians, if only he shut his mouth and kept quite. Didn't he know the streets and temple wasn't the place to say anything about sin? Haha
Regardless if she was outed by Facebook or some other means, the point is she took a stand against evil and God who sees all will bless her. I'm surprised you would suggest she kept her mouth shut about the homosexual indoctrination of children. What would you have suggested she do?
Yeah, but look at the attention she has brought to the issue of kids being indoctrinated at a early age by unbiblical propaganda and the prosecution people will face if they speak out.
She says she was deeply concerned about the compulsory sex education being forced on my 9-year-old son at a Church of England primary school. I didn't see the post, but I imagine she was trying to shed light on the situation.
Seeing that he is against private property, I wonder if he would let me have some of the Vatican's wealth! He is against other people's wealth, not including his own.
This seems a little dishonest at best. Do they think that by changing their name that it changes their history? Do they think nobody will know? I think the SBC has addressed their past, now it is time to move on or if they feel that bad about it to dissolve as an organization. I am still a member of a large SBC, but since moving am looking for a new church. The SBC closer to me might not be the route I go after the female music director was preaching from the pulpit last week. Only about 5 minutes, but still a more common direction I've noticed in their churches.
I don't believe Charles ever got divorced and even if he had it wouldn't be grounds for him not remaining a pastor, as long as he didn't get remarried (adultery).
I'm positive the man caught in a relationship was saved because the Bible says so. It isn't a supposition! The Bible also says we can know who is saved by their fruit. According to Jen's constant disobedience of God's Word, she is not saved. A bad tree bears bad fruit. However, it really doesn't matter according to church discipline and it doesn't mean she should be given up on.
Another thing to consider is Jen Hatmaker has begun to bare fruit and none of it good. Preaching the word is overstepping her bounds, accepting the sin of homosexuality, and now divorce for unbiblical causes.
Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them. Matthew 7:17-20
I get what you are saying about the man who married his stepmother, but it was of a different situation. He may have bore good fruit until then and when confronted with his sin, had trouble breaking away from it because he was already entrapped. He may have still held to the tenets of the faith otherwise and just needed harsh correction for this one thing. I'm not saying I am exactly right, but there are those who leave or are expelled from the church who were never part of the body and then there are those who are kicked out for disciplinary reasons who are still saved. I lean toward her not ever being saved because of her fruit.
Salvation is to late for those people, but if they had obeyed the gospel and believed previously, their self-righteousness would have been forgiven them. What is never forgiven is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
I can see why she might be getting a divorce. If she married a Christian, her husband would not be to happy about her endorsement of homosexual sin and it would definitely be a wedge in the relationship when dealing with their daughter.
They should have refrained from interacting with him along time ago. I find it hard to believe they didn't know some of the stuff he was involved with or doing which didn't represent Christ well.
Thou shalt not steal! Leave it to NPR to try and excuse away sin! Businesses can't stay open giving away stuff for free, which leads to joblessness. I guess the rioters aren't worried about that because they are either on welfare or still living with mommy.
There are so many issues surrounding Jerry Falwell Jr with this whole situation. I really dislike the whole traveling across country by church leaders on the church's dime sort of thing, but I'm not even talking about that. Jerry was a business partner with this younger man because they owned a gay hostel for the gay scene down in Miami. Why?! Becki (I guess the cool way to spell Becky?) and Jerry were recorded talking to this guy about his sexual conquest (fornication) and how it made Becki jealous because it wasn't with her (adultery), which Jerry liked to watch (orgies? I mean, I don't even know what sin that falls into!) There is no sign of a Christian life in them. Wouldn't a Christian minister to a lost soul instead then jump in bed and business with him? They took him on vacation with the rest of their family! It's just sick and one reason why I'm against children being handed positions in church because of who their daddy is.
Don't you really mean RINOs who came out in support of Biden?
One thing I look at before I vote for someone for President is their marriage and family. Trump fails with me because of his multiple marriages. However, his kids seem half way normal, as normal as they can be within their given lives. Biden has remained married, but his kids, not to mention his other family members who are a mess, are alcoholics and drug abusers. So why vote for either guy? Just because you don't like Trump, doesn't mean you have to vote for Biden.
