Wow I do not know Albert and have never heard a sermon of his prior. But I thank God for this message! Such a clear and glorious representation of the gospel of Christ. I listened to this at 1.5 speed 4 times because it was so good!
Not for Entertainment Clearly we agree with pastor’s Martin’s insight into the progression of God’s judgment upon those who dishonor our holy, just and righteous God and his word given to man.
Today we see that the homosexual agenda is more evangelistic than ever; reaching into the most sacred places in life. Namely, into the maternity wards of our hospitals where parents are losing say about the gender of their newborn. More profanely is that a depraved parent can opt to have a doctor “change” the newborn’s gender through medical procedure, or label it as “It” and the child can choose the gender later. This is being imposed on society.
Pastor Martin shows what happens when Christians (anyone) are passively complacent about sin. It progresses from tolerance, to acceptance, to contagion, from a dark corner to resort places, from the closet to the department stores, from the city to the nation, to worldwide.
Sodomites have become more evangelistic propogating lies than God's people with the truth.
Remember compromising Lot. We are called to give the message of reconciliation to the lost and repudiate evil.
American Adulterers Fornication has become one of the biggest sins of America. In fact, some of the underdeveloped nations are reluctant to receive American missionaries due to American exportation of pornography and adultery in the American media. Of course, it is all about greed and the love of money.
Remember Hebrews 13:4. God will judge all whoremongers and adulterers irrespective of what nation that they come from.
Very encouraging, but one Q... As usual, a very informative, encouraging & pastoral message from one of the greatest preachers used by God.
One question: what things is he referring to when he says regarding verse 1:
"things that will come to pass in principle, with the people of God in the end of the first Century"
What things...???
Great Sermon! God has used Al. Martin to bless me more than any other preacher. Messages like this need to be promoted more. Spread the word brethren!
Wonderful sermon! A clear, detailed, very helpful explanation of imputation. Beautiful, passionate preaching on this fundamental truth. What joy it gives my heart to be reminded that my sins have been charged to Christ on the cross and His perfect righteousness has been credited to me! Thank you for all the study and prayers that obviously went into this sermon.
Very interesting class Very interesting especially the part about the elements of worship in the early church coming from the worship services in the synagogues: the reading of scripture, prayers, singing Psalms, etc.
The Fear of the Lord is a fruit of the Spirit Outstanding and a must listen to all those who profess to know the Lord and to those who now say that progressive santifcation is unbiblical. Just listen to this old dear Godly saint and his biblical presentation and it should challenged any preconceived or stubbornly held views that denegrate God Law to the Old Testament and say that there is no Fear of the Lord in the New Testament for the believer!!
Great Sermon! Really?
Ask those who justify their sin(s) if they truly believe there is even such a thing called “deception.”
This is preaching not heard today. But God has left us a nail, and a hammer among his own to keep in view.
Excellent and Sobering Message If you've wondered how the Las Vegas massacre could happen, this message is for you. The plain answer of Scripture is it happened because of sin. And we all have deadly sin within us, whether or not we ever pick up a gun to kill--and if we don't kill our own sin, it aims to kill us forever.
Marvelous! This good man really knows how to preach! I have been instructed and encouraged and convicted of not being strict enough with my own sin. And yes it's also wonderful to remember the big picture. All history really has been the history of the war between Satan and Christ and His people. And yes the Book of Revelation makes it clear that Christ has won and will win even though the church is often weak and seems to be on the losing side. Christ has won and will win the final victory! Glory Hallelujah!
The true interpretation of Revelation Thank you Pastor Martin for this true interpretation of Revelation. This is what the pastors of my church and many other Reformed churches preach. Thank you for mentioning the books by Vern Poythress, William Hendricksen and Dennis Johnson. I wish American Christians would listen to this sermon and stop believing the nonsense that they have been led to believe.
sobering How much more innocent blood has been shed since this sermon was preached?!? America is covered in innocent blood, may God have mercy on America. As Albert Martin said, 'Lord, in wrath, remember mercy!'
May the elected officials of this nation do what is right concerning this matter, lest we face God's wrath.
Preaching with boldness and power! This sermon is absolutely a must hear. It should be played over loud speakers throughout this nation. Praise the Lord for Albert Martin, a man who fears God and trembles at His word.
Great Sermon! This sermon has lead to the conversion, or the increase of faith to many of those who are close to me. It is a true blessing from God
Great Sermon! This is, and has been the most inspiring audible account of Church history I've found. Pastor Jeff is clear and methodical in his discussions of the many ways and routes that church history has taken. It's been a wonderful tool to help contemplate Gods sovereignty in all things.
The only problem is that somewhere around lesson 65 or so, the recorded audible volume is diminished greatly and I struggle to hear it well at all. So far all the way through #70 it's very difficult to hear. Hope it gets returned to normal, and very much hope he continues the series.
Balanced, Compassionate Message Wonderful finale to a solid biblical series. In the preceding messages Pastor Chanski lays out the Bible's clear teaching that homosexuality is sin in God's eyes, serious sin. But what does this mean for how we relate to homosexuals? Should we view them as beyond helping? As all alike? As worthy of shunning and rudeness? No, no, and no. Very helpfully Pastor Dave sets out the path of faithfulness and love with helpful quotations from converted homosexuals and those who have ministered to them.
