"But devolved government was suspended in 2002 after allegations of an IRA spy ring at Stormont and Northern Ireland has been back under direct rule from London ever since."

I wish Scotland would return to Westminster rule.

Then we wouldn't have to put up with this devolved compromise in Edinburgh, it's 2nd rate politicians and its politically correct sodomite legislations.

It really doesn't matter where administration comes from in Britain today, they're all as bad as each other.

But the upsurge and increase of "Bureaucracy" is polluting the nation and destroying all authority institutions.

Get out free card/clause.???
Quote
"Said Pape: "He told me, 'I wrote about the man I want to be, not the man I am.'" u/q.

Oh how the "mighty" have fallen.

Self-Righteousness is just another sin in man.

These Arminian/Antinomian etc, denominations just don't deal with iniquity and Original Sin properly or realistically. In their effort to establish the sinners "rights" unto divine purpose, they don't understand the power of sin.

Whereas the Doctrines of Grace and Calvinism, in the Reformed Church, teach the Biblical Truth of sin and it's terrible power in the human condition.

What JD really means is::--

JD and all the "Non"-Reformed heretics reveal the sad state of Christianity after the true church has attempted to accommodate the spurious teachings of a movement controlled and energized by Satanic power. Now, after two thousand years of church history, a whole movement cannot even identify from the Scriptures what the church of Jesus Christ is and its leaven of other false doctrines are spreading through christendom like leaven through a loaf of bread.

It is a sad, sad state of affairs and I am no friend to these people who promote this confusion and lend themselves as Satans ministers, though I pity them greatly.

If you other Calvinists (True Christians) accept them as christian brethren and fail to properly label them as cultists, heretics et al, on a par with Yamil, Michael, DB and the Fundi-Dunkers, Arminians, Antinomians, Socinians and all others in common with Roman Popery that is between you and God.

Paul taught to the Galatians

1:6 "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto ANOTHER GOSPEL:
7 Which IS NOT ANOTHER; but there be some that trouble you, and would PERVERT the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."

At the close of another year - Please heed this warning of Paul in the Word of God, and seek the Truth taught in the Reformed Doctrines of Grace.

The alternatives of Arminianism, Liberalism, Antinomianism, Socianism and Roman Popery have all got one thing in common,. - They are ALL MAN MADE.!!!!!

The Reformation by the Grace of God brought us the Protestant Reformed Church and it's Biblical teachings.
Come to Christ by these Doctrines as taught by Christ Himself and His Apostles. Anything else is heresy.

Have a good new year and may God bring you into all Truth.

Not often I agree with you Cheryl but I just must post this.

You are absolutely right in that JD posted a set of statements which JD attributed to Ligon Duncan.

On this

JD is a Liar.

Ligon Duncan is NOT the writer of what JD has posted, at 12/30/06 6:33PM(ff).

JD repent and post the Truth, - (Just this once)

The further "explanation" of Name Tagger is insufficient also and I wish to pursue the question. I would be glad of some kind of a response from you on this problem.

Name Tagger
It may be that I am not getting an answer from SA, because of this being the holiday season. Should I not get an answer I will continue to question your action with them in the new year.

"Name Taggers" explanation below is insufficient. Two of the aliases I used were to post, cut/paste information from other people's site sources, thus would bare no resemblance to my personal characteristics.

If this alias link information is not publically available by SermonAudio itself, then "Name Tagger" is getting it electronically or from your staff.

Thankyou.

Does your privacy policy allow this access to information such as this, to be publically available.?

Or
Is Name Tagger "hacking" into your system to obtain this information.

Or
Does she have access to your main office/staff to obtain this information.

Thankyou.

Sermon:
Woe to Hypocrites, Part 2
K. W. (Pete) Hurst

“ Great Sermon! ”
This follow-up on Rev. Hurst's sermon on hypocrisy continues with this dangerous theme, still prevalent in the modern churches. These warnings bring us to look closely, and deep, at our witness and testimony and that of our church. Thank you Rev. Hurst, two good messages.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Hypocrisy is not just the preserve of the Pharisees. Sadly it is alive and kicking in the church today. Rev. Hurst brings a timely warning to us, in the words of Jesus as He castigated the Pharisees. But their "fruit" is all to often today the product of many within the pulpit and the pew, and we should heed the warning and take the necessary action in our fellowships.

Eph 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship"

Here is the PLAIN teaching of God in Scripture.

Not of Works
Not of works
Not of works

But these blind guides teach the lies and carnal deceit of the enemy. Thus do the Arminians/FreeWill heretics proclaim another Gospel.

Gal 1:6 "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto ANOTHER GOSPEL:
7 Which IS NOT ANOTHER; but there be some that trouble you, and would PERVERT the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, LET HIM BE ACCURSED."

May God have mercy on their souls. Amen

Here Jesus rejects those who are not of the True Church (Reformed)

Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Many will think themselves "Christian" even to doing things in His name.
But when they try to reject God's way and remove Him from the work of Salvation in Christ alone, and teach the fallacy of salvation by human effort as the Arminains proclaim on this board, Then He Will Not KNow Them.

They remain dead in their sins and blinded by Satan. Their FreeWill is a Free route to Hell.!!!

The Teaching you see below is the Doctrines from the Word of God, who by His Grace brought the True Protestant Church of His Son, into struggle with the Roman heretics.

Today we find God's True Reformed Church and Witness in struggle again with the Arminan and Fundamentalist heretics.

It has always been a simple division between those who can receive the Truth; and those who are Reprobate like our Arminain/Freewiller fellow travellers.

Mark 4:11 "And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them."

Jesus here refers to the True Church (Reformed) and those who are "without" who clearly are the heretics who do not receive the Truth.

As the Church at the Canons of Dordt proclaimed - The Arminians ARE HERETIC.

1. Those whom God effectually calleth, He also freely justifieth: not by infusing righteousness into them, but by pardoning their sins, and by accounting and accepting their persons as righteous, not for anything wrought in them, or done by them, but for Christ's sake alone; nor by imputing faith itself, the act of believing, or any other evangelical obedience to them, as their righteousness, but by imputing the obedience and satisfaction of Christ unto them, they receiving and resting on Him and His righteousness by faith; which faith they have not of themselves, it is the gift of God.

2. Faith, thus receiving and resting on Christ and His righteousness, is the alone instrument of justification; yet it is not alone in the person justified, but is ever accompanied with all other saving graces, and is no dead faith, but worketh by love.

1. All those whom God hath predestinated unto life, and those only, He is pleased in His appointed and accepted time effectually to call, by His Word and Spirit, out of that state of sin and death, in which they are by nature, to grace and salvation by Jesus Christ; enlightening their minds spiritually and savingly to understand the things of God; taking away their heart of stone, and giving unto them a heart of flesh; renewing their wills, and by His almighty power determining them to that which is good, and effectually drawing them to Jesus Christ: yet so, as they come most freely, being made willing by His grace.

2. This effectual call is of God's free and special grace alone, not from anything at all foreseen in man, who is altogether passive therein, until being quickened and renewed by the Holy Spirit, he is thereby enabled to answer this call, and to embrace the grace offered and conveyed in it.

4. Others, not elected, although they may be called by the ministry of the Word, and may have some common operations of the Spirit, yet they never truly come unto Christ, and therefore cannot be saved: much less can men, not professing the Christian religion, be saved in any other way whatsoever, be they never so diligent to frame their lives iaw the light of nature

1. God hath endued the will of man with that natural liberty, that it is neither forced, nor by any absolute necessity of nature determined to good or evil.

2. Man, in his state of innocency, had freedom and power to will and to do that which was good, and well pleasing to God; but yet mutably, so that he might fall from it.

3. Man, by his fall into a state of sin, hath wholly lost all ability of will to any spiritual good accompanying salvation: so as, a natural man, being altogether averse from that good, and dead in sin, is not able, by his own strength, to convert himself, or to prepare himself thereunto.

4. When God converts a sinner, and translates him into the state of grace, He freeth him from his natural bondage under sin; and, by His grace alone, enables him freely to will and to do that which is spiritually good; yet so, as that by reason of his remaining corruption, he doth not perfectly, nor only, will that which is good, but doth also will that which is evil.

5. The will of man is made perfectly and immutably free to good alone, in the state of glory only.

Ah well now we know the Truth (again)

Calvinists are the True Christians.

They alone Exegete Scripture by the Holy Spirit.

The Reformed Church is the ONLY True Church.

The seed of Liberalism is the Arminian humanistic philosophy we see paraded by the anti-Calvin brigade.

I suppose if you can't perceive the truth of Scripture you won't see it in history either, as our Arminian friends below demonstrate.

Remember you Arminian/Freewillers below that it is your religion which is in common with the Roman Popery of salvation by works.
