The Arminian Threat to the Church.

In Luke’s Gospel we see Jesus castigating the Pharisees for their humanistic religious “Show.” Just such a parade of human aspirations, beyond Bible teachings, do we observe in the Arminian religion.
The Arminian declared objection to God’s Sovereignty develops in their doctrines as raising the sinner to a higher status than Scripture ever allows.
Thus just as the Pharisee invented their own religion – so does the Arminian try to do.
God’s Sovereignty is sufficiently illustrated in the verses describing the Potter and the clay. “Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?” However the Arminian conviction refuses to accept a supreme being as God, their version is to “create” a lesser god who panders to their very human whims.

Here we go again ONE man was resposible for the Justice and Punishment system in Europe during the 16th century.

If Calvin was that powerful - Why don't you acknowledge his God given power.

Rom 13:1 "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God."

"The doctrine of the imputation of Christ's righteousness is threefold. "The term 'imputation' has been used in theology in a threefold sense to denote the judicial acts of God by which the guilt of Adam's sin is imputed to his posterity; by which the sins of Christ's people are imputed to Him; and by which the righteousness of Christ is imputed to His people. The act of imputation is precisely the same in each case" (The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia,"

There are NO mistakes in the Bible
Rom 8:29/30
Is perfectly true.

Don't forget God's "Time" is Spiritual - NOT temporal.

"Imputation"
(Isa 61:10; Jer 23:6; Ro 3:22; 5:18; 1Co 1:30; 2Co 5:21)

"Definition: is used to designate any action or word or thing as reckoned to a person. Thus in doctrinal language (1) the sin of Adam is imputed to all his descendants, i.e., it is reckoned as theirs, and they are dealt with therefore as guilty; (2) the righteousness of Christ is imputed to them that believe in him, or so attributed to them as to be considered their own; and (3) our sins are imputed to Christ, i.e., he assumed our "law-place," undertook to answer the demands of justice for our sins. In all these cases the nature of imputation is the same (Rom. 5:12-19; comp. Philemon 1:18, 19)." - Easton Bible Dictionary

Discerned Believer
Be careful of the term "Anabaptist" Back in the Reformation time it suggested a plethora of different heterodoxical positions.

This is from the Anabaptist Network site.

"It is safe to say that MĂĽnster often was at the forefront of the mind of any conservative who used the expression "anabaptist" during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The term implied that the persons so described had placed themselves outside the company of reasonable people. Often it applied to anyone who was more radical than the person speaking happened to like."

"These votes show the radical liberal agenda that often comes from the centre of the church is out of touch. The majority of church members, ministers and elders are instinctively conservative and when given the chance to vote on an issue do so along conservative lines."

Yes in the majority of cases I've spoken to those who were Kirk, they don't want Homosexuality to be sanctioned by the Kirk. But the real problem in the Kirk today is Liberalism. This has created a church ignorant of real Biblical understanding.

The other way of "voting" many have taken is to walk away from the Kirk because of the "other" religion which has taken over; - That religion is NOT Christianity - That religion is of Satan - That religion is Liberalism.

And I blame centuries of Arminian theology for that error and decline.

Good grief DB, I gave you more credit for common sense than this.

Stop misquoting history and lying about the historic facts.

I'm not surprised your head is spinning - what is it you are drinking today,???

You are conferring with those who cannot and will not see.
These are they who have for ages past been perceived as the heretic.

Why does God allow heresy.?

1Cor 11:19 "For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you."

The Arminians, as history has recorded, and I'm sure you have observed are full to the gunnels of heresy. Blind to the Truth which is not made manifest to them.

Then why did you post this.???

"If 5 Pointism is true, sinners (the non-elect) would have reason to hate God because God had choosen before they where born to hate them so much that He would make it impossible for them to be forgiven to ensure that they were damned in hell no matter what they do."

Did these folks "hate" God.???

Matt 7:21 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

They called Jesus "Lord, Lord..."
They did works in His name.
Is that Hate.???

Yet Christ here declares I never knew you ......that work iniquity.
Thus they went to church
BUT were not saved.

And what about the church goers who get it wrong in Revelations Chapters 2 and 3. Did they attend church because they "hate" God.??????????

said
"The very fact that he died for all and all may come to the Father and be reconciled makes his death and resurrection effacacious for all, not a few."

If Christ's death was efficacious for ALL -then- ALL will be saved.???
It is God who makes it efficacious.

This is Universalism JD.

Do you accept the universalist theology that "ALL" are saved.???

Nobody going to hell.???

Matt 10:28 "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in HELL."

Matt23:33 "Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of HELL?"

Rev20:14 "And death and HELL were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death."

John 6:37 "All that the Father giveth me *SHALL* come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." (KJV)

Actually the word used is "SHALL"
- Not "Will."

Also the word "shall" - is only added to complete the english grammar.
It is NOT there in the Greek Text.

The more I read the posts of the Arminians on here the more I perceive the prophecy in them; - That they have *not received* the love of the Truth, And they are *deluded* in their attempts at exegesis.
Clearly they believe the lie of FreeWill and have built their religion around this fallacy.

2Thes 2:8] And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
[9] Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
[10] And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they *RECEIVED NOT* the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
[11] And for this cause God shall send them **STRONG DELUSION,** that they should believe a lie:
[12] That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
_______

[13] "But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
[14] Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Also their failure to perceive and acknowledge "Original Sin" is a large blight upon their religion.

As the Canons observed in this rejection.

(Armins) "That it cannot properly be said that original sin in itself suffices to condemn the whole human race or to deserve temporal and eternal punishment."

[Truth] "For these contradict the apostle, who declares: "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" (Rom. 5:12). And: "The judgment was by one to condemnation" (Rom. 5:16). And: "The wages of sin is death" (Rom. 6:23)."

= The same kind of blindness appears inherent and active within the Arminian club today who post on the site. I guess it's the same old heresy and isn't going to change, whether 5th century, 17th century or the 21st.
