I'd recommend you get a grip on your emotions so you can think clearly. The media is reporting a crime committed on the basis on race because that is what the evidence demands. This sick kid didn't kill 9 people because he hated Christians but because he hated blacks and he went to a gun free zone, a church, to carry out his evil deed. However, not all media is silent on or suppresses the fact these 9 people were God fearing Christians.
That said, Neither you, me or anyone else should get our marching orders of what to think from the heathen media nor should we expect them to get the things of God right. Blood bought Christians know these 9 victims were precious brothers and sisters in Christ and their innocent blood will be avenged by God who will judge those without the household of God in His time. We of the household of God need to pray God comforts the family and friends who suffered such great loss..... not accuse each other falsely.
Well said! Thank-you.

Well I personally have 2 weapons that I have had for years and years. Now, I will only use them to defend my wife, but it someone breaks into my home and I feel my wife is being threatened, then I will shoot them. If they die, then it was their fault and I take no responsibility. Anyway, hope you and your family are doing well. Tell your husband I said happy father's day in advance.
Thank-you dear brother...we are well, trust you and yours are too.
We wish you a most blessed and relaxing Fathers Day also.

Would agree with both John and B.McCausland....
"The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness".
Psalm 41:3
The Lord is most compassionate...have found this to be true in my own life.
To Him be all the Glory.

Where we live people with guns are everywhere and I men everywhere!
WalMart...church buildings....out walking.
If they ever decide to confiscate, it will be a blood-bath.

Would recommend an excellent book written by a former psychologist on these issues.
"Psychoheresy: The Psychological Seduction of Christianity".
by Dr. Martin Bobgan
He and his wife also have several articles on-line.

Pastors cry about the lack of attendance in churches. Once again we are admonished to assemble.. which true... but WHY do the Lords people leave their assemblies? What Biblical doctrine did Luther, Calvin, Bunyan, Spurgeon, Hus, Wycliffe, Gill,Jonathan Edwards, Matthew Henry even Arminian Wesley never EVER fail to preach daily? The doctrine of the Papal Antichrist. We live in a day where even Free Presbyterians are getting on stage with a man who signed the Manhattan declaration..and use the catholic version of the Bible . SermonAudio itself has people on their site that openly boast of being "educated" in theological romish institutions..
The problem in American is spiritual. Our sad condition can be attributed to the directly to the Pastors who caused His people to mourn.
Eze 34:19 And as for my flock, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet; and they drink that which ye have fouled with your feet.
Jer 12:10 Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.
Jer 12:11 They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourneth unto me; the whole land is made desolate, because no man layeth it to heart
AMEN

Dorcas and Lurker, thank you for keeping me out of trouble. As Tonto said to the Lone Ranger: "Kemosabi, (sp?) Me no look for trouble, trouble it looks for me.
I have so many thoughts and questions but there is no right context for them. It would be nice to have another but I thank God for what he does allow to work all things together for my good, just as he has promised, especially considering how easily I get into trouble, even trying to avoid it. Not that I always try to avoid it, sometimes its infirmity and others remaining corruption, that leads me astray. But the Good Shepherd hears my cry when I frighten myself, then he shows me how I came to wander off.
Blessings to you both. Have a blessed Lord's Day. I'll start my assignment tonight D.V.
You are most welcome.
Just passing along some of the bread that has been graciously provided by the Lord through His ministers.
Ecclesiastes 12:11
"The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the master of assemblies, which are given from one Shepherd".

Greetings to you brother Lurker....trust all is well?

A blessed Lord's Day to you both.

I just went to the Tiffany's website, and you can buy a pair of 18k gold cuff links for CDN3,850 just in time for Father's Day. It may have now occurred to Mr. Graham not to do business with Tiffany's (a high priced jewellery store), but for me a disabled Christian in relative poverty, I have never had the means to do business with them...
The companies that Mr. Graham is talking about withdrawing from, are large corporations. As for me, I don't think I'll need to make the choice to withdraw large accounts from one corporation, or stop shopping at an expensive jewellery store that is renowned for its exclusivity.
I went all out today and put on my wedding band (the hubby and I went out together), and wore my bracelet that cost me 50 cents, lol!
Hi Jessica,
Your post made me chuckle...
The largest corporation I'm sure most of us are shopping at is Wally World.
Good to see you posting and that you and your husband were able to go out together today.

Blessings in the Beloved.

Well said Frank.
The devil and his handmaiden the romanist cult have used these social causes to advance their ecumenical all roads lead to Rome agenda.

The article states:"The pledge was drafted by Mathew Staver, chairman of Liberty Counsel Action, and Deacon Keith Fournier, editor in chief at Catholic Online."
Another opportunity for to all come together for a good cause? The number of times that has been done in history should send up a warning signal shouldn't it? It's been done numerous times in western nations for hundreds of years by the professing Churches and look where we are today for all its seemingly good intentions. How does this differ from ECT? On another thread the SBC signing of ECT was mentioned. How does this differ?
Yes mourner I picked that up too about the RC ecumenical bent to this 'pledge'.
If you go online and find the document, it has been signed by a bird of every religious stripe, even institutions 'pastored' by women.

Good Lord's Day to you.
Yes, it is best to have a knowledge of the Word of God so that with the Spirit's help you can determine what teachers to listen to. Adversity and affliction is helpful to that end as well. (Isa. 30:20) I read Thomas Boston 'The Crook in the Lot' years ago now. It was very helpful at the time. For many years I looked to Thomas Manton for printed Sermons, and Mr. Charnock's 'The Existence and Attributes of God' is amazing. He so helped me to understand God's Goodness. Not familiar with Bebee or Philpot but the later sounds vaguely familiar.
Post-it notes are not to be preferred to face to face; the reasons are increasingly obvious. For one it is easy to be misunderstood or to misunderstand in this context.
I once wrote on a 3x5 card what John Knox suggested to the Lord's people when they came together without ministers. It was a wonderful suggestion all you need is others doctrinally and geographically close. That's a tall order these days.
Would like to recommend a sermon on the text Mark 6:34.
"The Danger of an Unconverted Ministry"
by Mr. Gilbert Tennent.
It was preached (I believe) in the mid 1800's about the deplorable conditions of unconverted ministers in the pulpit...much like today!
