Brethren
There are three trolls who frequent these boards that we all simply must ignore and not feed into their insanity - Jim Lincoln, John Y, and Steve R.
Let us heed the word of God concerning those who are divisive - "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them." Romans 16:17
Time is too precious to waste on those who haven't ears to hear; there are multitudes who need our prayers- there are true brethren who we need to lift up and pray for as well. To continue to waste time arguing with Satan's minions is fruitless. They frequent these boards for a reason - to be divisive, to attempt to distract us from what's truly important. May God have mercy on these deluded souls.

Thank-you Observer for your post.
Sister ladybug expressed similar thoughts awhile back....she was correct.
Popery and her ecumenical step-children have darkened the land...God's little flock are "Israel to their tents".
So appreciate the remenant on this site who contend for the faith.

I'm very glad to see that SermonAudio in partnership with the Trinitarian Bible Society is still continuing after many years in making the KJV Gospel of John available freely to many folks, currently the city of Las Vegas, NV.
This makes me very happy, and endears me to both SermonAudio and to the TBS.
As it has always said at the head of the SA HomePage, "faith cometh by hearing".
Yep!
Keep it up, guys.

Observer,
I can't find the article on his website, I think he may have sent it to us by PM. But he preached it to his congregation on 3/22/15.

Thank you bro for your thoughts.
You make some important points.
Textual critics treat the Bible as just another human composition so that they can dissect the texts using their ever so superior intellects! The lay believers who do not see that for this purpose they have a vested interest in accepting those very few texts that have the most divergence from each other and from the majority so that they can perpetuate their false "science" are just being plain dumb.
Sadly evidence of the sort you bring forward will not win the hardened or ignorant. In the meantime I note from the link you provided (thank you for that) that Joel Beeke and RHB is also now part of the downgrade! How very sad!
Since you mentioned Mr. Beeke, some study notes in his new Reformation Study Bible are quite alarming.
Mr. Ovadal has put out some articles on that also.

RE: J MacArthur, possibly he could handle grave concerns better-view the correspondence with a preacher on SermonAudio re: 'the Manhatton Declaration'-MacArthur's Disturbing Reply
http://www.pccmonroe.org/2010/02.24.htm
Church History can be most relevant. Read the KJV 2 Thess 2: 7. Read the same in the Geneva version and examine the notes. Read again the dedication in the KJV. See the WCF 25.6 and LBC 1689. The KJV is a PROTESTANT Bible. Now read the NKJV-note the subtle CAPITAL change and alteration altogether of the Protestant Geneva interpretation held by so many faithful preachers-Bunyan, Whitefield, Spurgeon.
Now read the General Editor of the Enlish Standard Version and does the alarm bell sound? Another one behind the same Manhatton Declaration...a must read

J I Packer and ‘Mother’ Teresa
http://www.takeheed.info/news-from-the-front-march-2010/
Now ask yourself-what is behind the ESV commencing with its ecumenical editor? Why does the NKJV revise the KJV reading that is the same in the Geneva Bible?
Thank-you for posting up Mr. Ovadal's link on J.Mac.
We read it a few years back and were quite disturbed.

"And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath" Luke 4:28
I find their response quite fascinating. What was so offensive about His reading of Isaiah that the men of this synagogue of Galilee would...
"rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong." Luke 4:29
Nothing is more offensive to carnal man than God's free and sovereign grace to show mercy on whom He will show mercy.

I would NOT be so quick to exalt MacArthur, a man who has many questionable teachings and admits he has no idea when he was converted...
PHIL: How old were you when you first recall sensing your need for Christ?
JOHN: Well I always believed the gospel. I don't ever...I don't ever remember a time when I didn't believe the gospel. I mean, it was so wonderfully modeled by my Mom and Dad, it was so consistent. They were exactly at home what they were in the church. And what my Dad was in the pulpit he was in the house. And Christ was always very wonderful to me and inviting to me. And my Mom and Dad lived out their Christian life before me. And so, I never rebelled against it. I always knew I needed Jesus to be my Savior....
And I remember my Dad praying with me on the steps that the Lord would save me. There may have been other times that I brought it up, but that one stands out in my mind. And as to whether I was actually converted at that time, I don't know. Again, in the years following I never rebelled, I was always responsive to the things of Christ. But I don't know that they were really the dominant matters of my life and the priorities that early."

Saw that with JonnyMac years ago, ladybug...another protestant pope.
