CALL TO WORSHIP
Glory to the heavenly Father
Fountain of eternal love
Who, His wandering sheep to gather
Sent the Savior from above.
To the Son all praise be given
Who with love unknown before
Left the bright abode of heaven
And our sins and sorrows bore.
Equal strains of warm devotion
Let the Spirit’s praise employ
Author of each holy motion
Source of wisdom, peace, and joy.
Thus while our glad hearts ascending
Glorify Jehovah’s name
Heavenly songs with ours are blending
There the theme is still the same!
(Tune: “Jesus Calls Us” p. 374)

REMEMBERED IN OUR LOW ESTATE
“Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever.” (Psalm 136:23)
When Adam fell, he sunk his race low, low, low into sin and death. We fell so low that we are at the bottom of the barrel. We fell so low into the pit of sin that we cannot get any lower. But thanks be to God that the long arm of His mercy and grace reaches to the lowest sinner and redeems them. No sinner can sink so low into sin, that God cannot save them by His mercy and grace. No amount of time or change will stop God’s redeeming mercy from reaching His people because His mercy forever: God’s mercy is eternal, without beginning or ending. God’s mercy will endure as long as there are sinners to save.

I Don’t Know What to Say
II Corinthians 9:15 “Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift.”
Have you ever received such a wonderful, marvelous, gracious gift and the only words that would come out of your mouth were, “I don’t know what to say.” That is what every believer says concerning the Gift that God gave to them. It makes us unable to speak. Three amazing things about this Gift of God… First, it is God’s Gift. It could not be a gift from God if it was not His to give. Secondly, this Gift from God is unspeakable. It is an unspeakable gift. This word translated “unspeakable” means, “indescribable and unexplainable.” Mere words will not allow us to describe or explain this Gift. Thirdly, this Gift from God makes everyone that it was given to thankful unto the Giver, Who is God! This is His unspeakable Gift. The Gift is Jesus Christ Who is salvation! Every time I think about Christ dying - the just for the unjust - to bring me to God, putting away my sin and giving me His perfect righteousness, the only words I can muster are, I don’t know what to say except, “Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift.”

THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST” I Peter 1:19
Today we will observe the Lord’s Supper. We will do as the Lord commanded. We will remember Him. And what a joy and comfort it is to remember that He by Himself purged our sins and obtained eternal redemption for us! The blood of Jesus Christ is precious because by it all the sins of all His people were put away forever. We rejoice to know that Jesus Christ did not die in vain. When He cried from the cross: “It is finished,” it was the proclamation that He had then and there put away the sins of His people. Thank God that today we will remember our successful Redeemer and glorious Savior. Those already in heaven sing of the triumphs of their great God and Savior. “And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.”

THERE IS NO REJECTION IN ELECTION
“But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:” (2 Thessalonians 2:13)
All men and women are born into this world spiritually “dead in trespasses and sins” (Eph. 2:1). All are under the curse of the law, and all are deserving of eternal damnation. “But God”! God chose to show mercy to some sinners through the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. Had God not chosen to do that, not one soul would have been saved.
Contrary to what many may believe, there is no rejection in election. God did not choose for some to be saved and some to be damned. Mankind was already damned. God elected to save His people from damnation, and He reveals who He chose to do this for through The Holy Spirit giving a sinner “belief of the truth”. Therefore, all who have been given this faith to believe on the saving work and blood of Christ alone are bound to give thanks to God for choosing to save them before the foundation of the world.
