CALL TO WORSHIP
With harps and with vials there stands a great throng
In the presence of Jesus and sings this new song;
To Him who hath loved us and washed us from sin,
Unto Him be the glory forever! Amen.
All these once were sinners defiled in His sight,
Now arrayed in pure garments their voices unite;
To Him who hath loved us and washed us from sin,
Unto Him be the glory forever! Amen.
He maketh the rebel a priest and a king,
He hath bought us and taught us this new song to sing;
To Him who hath loved us and washed us from sin,
Unto Him be the glory forever! Amen.
How helpless and hopeless we sinners had been
If He had not loved us and washed us from sin;
To Him who hath loved us and washed us from sin,
Unto Him be the glory forever! Amen.
Aloud in His praises our voices shall ring
So that others believing this new song shall sing;
To Him who hath loved us and washed us from sin,
Unto Him be the glory forever! Amen.
(Tune: “How Firm A Foundation” p. 268)

A SURE SALVATION
The salvation of God’s elect is sure and certain. God’s salvation cannot be changed because God, who cannot change, has promised it. God’s salvation cannot be lost because it was purchased with the blood of God’s Son. But knowing that our nature is prone to doubts and fears, our God has described how certain the salvation of His people is by using examples that we can understand.
We think the great mountains of the earth are immovable. Our God tells us that the salvation of His people is even more immovable than that. “For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.” (Isaiah 54:10)
We think that the orbit of the planets around the sun can never be changed. Our God tells us that His covenant of grace is even more unchangeable than that. “Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season; Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne” (Jeremiah 33:20-21)
We should never doubt any promise of God, but I am thankful that our Lord gives us these assurances because “he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.” (Psalm 103:14)

God’s Church – His Family
God’s church is his family. That makes church membership a great privilege and a serious responsibility. Every believer ought to identify himself with a gospel church, joining himself to the membership of the body of Christ in the area where he lives (Acts 9:26). In doing so, he makes a public commitment to the cause of Christ. Such commitment means that he will devote himself to the worship of God, the edification, peace, and welfare of God’s saints in that place, and the support of the cause of Christ through the ministry of that assembly to which he has, by the grace of God, been united. The neglect of these privileges is an assertion that he considers the worship of God, the people of God, and the ministry of the gospel in that place a worthless, contemptible thing.

The Significance of The True Church
From the Scriptures we know the church is His body, His bride, the people He loved and purchased with His own blood that He sees as glorious, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing. It is the church of Christ, the church of God, the house of God, the pillar and ground of the Truth. It is that which He built and of which He is the Head. It is the ones He feeds, and walks in their midst, and promises His presence. It is the place from whose midst He sings. It is the general assembly and church of the firstborn whose names are written in heaven. It is that group of people of whom Christ said, “In as much as ye have done it to the least of these My brethren, you have done it to Me.” We see how important the church is to Him. How important is it to you?
Pastor Todd Nibert
There is one glaring thing that believers and unbelievers have in common. They both want THEIR righteousness to be exalted. For the unbeliever, it is something they have produced by their Will, their Works, or their Wisdom. For the child of God, it is Christ, who alone is ALL their wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.
