Do you have little faith? Do you have little faith? I do. This message is very encouraging. Jesus shows His power over Satan, sickness and death. It's interesting how he wanted all to see the woman's miracle but not the little girls. I had wondered why he told them not to say anything about her being raised from the dead. The end is very good concerning weak or little faith, so encouraging. Thank you Pastor Steve.
Excellent Sermon! Unfortunately I have to believe that most so-called Christians are intellectually, mentally lazy when it comes to studying and understanding Holy Scripture. There are 168 hours that God has loaned to us every week, and how many hours do we devote to reading and expanding our knowledge of His Word? I'm fortunate to be retired and spend 4-5 hours in serious study -- much of it listening to outstanding teachers such as Dr. White, and many others on this fantastic site. I grow deeper in My Lord and Savior almost daily. I especially appreciate the Apostle Paul's writing and marvel at his devoted duty in such a hostile world -- amazing what he did. I try to see the life and challenges he faced daily. Beautiful man and a great inspiration. I've gotten into studying much on his "thorn in the side" problem and have learned much about understanding it.
Great Sermon! There is so much here, you've got to hear it. Lydia was not "Lydia's" real name! God opens hearts it's a miracle of love and grace. It's all of God and nothing of us.
Great Sermon! This is very good and scriptural topic. I highly recommend Vincent Cheung's The Problem Of Evil. Supralapsarianism is the biblical teaching consistent with God's character and gives all glory to Him alone.
Great Sermon! Good to get the background on this event or else we get the wrong idea. So I'm grateful for this short eight minute explanation of what was really going on.
Great Sermon! It's about time someone made this point, that Christianity is radical faith. Jim White is a formidable scholar and deep thinker. Those who believe that the Bible is full of dogmas requiring "blind faith" have never read it. It must rank among the most deconstructive documents in all of human history. It requires critical thought by its very nature. Thus, it contrasts favorable with the worldview of "naturalism," which is little more than an exercise in speculative metaphysics.
Great Sermon! While this message covered many difficult topics, I had no hesitation in accepting the truth of them all even when I didn't totally understand them altogether. The best of it all was near the end when I felt blessed that as a 75 year old man, I now am a saved sinner and have the Holy Spirit directing my life. I have peace and joy every day.
Great Sermon! I'm really blessed by this teaching from the book of Acts. In fact the week to week teaching, as it all comes together, has helped me to see what the book is all about. The "This is that" from Acts 2,"But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel...I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh." If we miss this, we miss one of the major points of the book, if not the whole point of the book.
Great Sermon! With so many Christians being persecuted right now, more than any other time in history, this sermon is a great encouragement. He stands for us!
Great Sermon! Very encouraging, especially with all that's going on in the world. This is our calling and great honor, to obey God rather than man.
