“ The Difference Between Being Saved & Unsaved ”
The Ethiopian Eunuch serves to teach us many things in scripture. One of them is the difference between the saved and the unsaved. Henry points to the present day church and it's failing to teach the Word of God. It shows how worldly the church has become and that the True Word of God is not only not wanted, but rejected completely in place of worldly things. How sad. Just the sermon alone here has the power to save. Henry does a most impressive job at declaring God's word and if a sinner is listening - could be saved.

“ It's All About Faith ”
Sometimes we have to be reminded of the simplicity of faith. It seems hard to most people, but to those chosen by God and saved by Christ, it's easy and it's all we have at the end of the day. It's all we need. Henry takes the time here to point out the critical difference between the unsaved and the saved. And in listening, we can look around in our daily lives and see exactly what he is talking about. It can be very scary - for those who are unsaved. Henry does a wonderful job at laying things out so that we can understand them.

“ This Is Applicable To ALL Believers ”
I, myself, struggle everyday in understanding God's Word. Sometimes I think that I understand when I am shown (in various ways) that I don't even have a clue. I don't become disheartened, instead I look for further understanding. It's an ongoing search to understand more and more and more of God's precious word. Because in understanding we become closer to God and that is my goal. Henry does well here in laying all of this out so that we can see where we are in the grand scheme of things. Leave it to God to use Henry in order to bring us sinners closer to our one True Father in Heaven.

“ Honesty At It's Very Best! ”
You know, if preachers were to tell the truth to their congregations, the rolls would drop dramatically. It's easier to keep a full church by not telling the truth, but it creates sons and daughters of hell. Most preachers don't believe that though. This is what Henry is speaking about in this sermon, the examples of unbelief. How easy it is to not believe. It's a very scary sermon in many ways, but one that needs to be preached. The question at the very end is - do you believe God is ALL POWERFUL? The answer will determine where you spend eternity.

“ Magnificent Sermon! ”
I have no doubt of my faith, not in the strictist sense of speaking, but to listen to Henry explain faith and what it is helps to reinforce my own faith and living in this world, I need that on a regular basis. We don't realize how daunting and tedious this world can be for a believer with the amount of sin that comes at us every single day and to have sermons such as this to help reinforce and bolster our own personal faith is a blessing sent down from heaven above. Thank you Lord Father in Heaven for allowing Henry Mahan to have been able to deliver your Word and for us to have it and to use it to draw closer and closer to you.

“ A Perfect Explanation ”
I have been wrestling with this issue for some time now and trying desperately to understand the true purpose of Baptism. I have heard several varying explanations, but was never really sure until I heard Henry explain it. And explain it he did. Now, I am positive that I wholly understand what Baptism is and what it is intended for. This would serve as a very important and critical sermon where this subject is concerned. I am so thankful that it was preserved and made available here. The Lord led me to this in order that I may understand. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Thank you again for another blessed sermon, this sermon, on salvation. You have several sermons that I will be listening to. My first sermon of yours that I listened to was the one on the doctrine of election and I have downloaded it. It was VERY helpful. Thank you for everything and may the Lord continue to bless you and your Kingdom Works.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Thank you for how easy you made the doctrine of election to be clearer. I never heard of election until I was in my my forties and I was in church from the age of six (6) months of age. My parents had six children, and each child started being a part of our church. The pastor never preached or even mentioned election. That pastor who was there when I, as a baby was taken to church was called to another church and the pastor who came in, never mentioned election either, nor did any other preacher that I heard. BUT, I was blessed to finally to hear about the doctrine of election when I was in my adult age of somewhere in the forties. I am still thanking God for that pastor. And, thank you for your 11 page text message and for your exposition of the text by preaching it. THANK YOU!!! Thank you so much. This is a difficult doctrine and it really needs to be explained by a pastor who has studied it and was gracious enough to preach it. Thank you again. I was very blessed by your sermon. God's richest and greatest blessings to you. Thank God for leading me to your sermon. Goodnight

What We Really Need

“ It's All About Love ”
We as human beings are confused when it comes to the true love of God. As base human beings we believe that only good things are a sign of love, when that isn't even close to the real truth. Job is a perfect example of God's love for His people. You can't get a better example. Not only that, but we don't even know the conversations being held regarding us between God and satan - just like with Job. "Have you considered my servant.....?" fill in the blank. As servants, God can use us however he sees fit. Who are we to demand or argue with God? This sermon is one of Henry's best. In order to see who you are in realilty - you might want to listen to this sermon.

“ WOW! ”
Henry successfully explains how this world serves to confuse the true understanding of salvation. He explains what is really needed in order to come to Christ. He points out in multiple examples of how we foolishly believe that we are saved when we are more often than not - anything but. Blessed be Henry Mahan and his preaching and teaching!

“ The Difference Between Aaron & Christ ”
Henry takes the time to explain in detail between Aaron and Christ as High Priest's. He also explains in detail how Melchezedek is in fact the Pre Incarnate Christ. If you want a clear understanding of how Christ has manifested and is our perfect HIGH PRIEST then listen to this sermon and come away closer to Christ.

“ Henry At His Best ”
I enjoy listening to Henry laying out those very basic details of scripture. He goes a long, long way into explaining basics. We can read scripture, but as the Ethopian Eunuch asked Phiip "How can I understand what I read if there is no one to explain it to me?" Same thing with everyone else. We need that critical explanation and Henry does a wonderful job at explaining. If you are unsure about your own salvation, listen to this sermon and you won't be in question any longer.

“ The Perfect Priest ”
Henry lays out the difference between man as priest and Christ as priest. It's not difficult to understand once you have all the facts. Christ is in essence LORD, PROPHET, PRIEST all in one. No man can claim that or attain that. Christ alone. This is one of Henry's better sermons on this subject. For anyone who is wanting more understanding and a closer walk with Christ - give this sermon a sincere listen.

“ To Consider Christ ”
How often do we actually sit down and really, seriously consider Christ? Who He is, what He is and what He does and has done for us? I know that I don't as often as I should and this sermon reminds me of that fact. Christ is all through the Old Testament, He shows up all over the place and unless we have someone who can adequately explain it and point it out, we would never see it - not unless our eyes are opened to it. Henry does a magnificent job here in showing us and reminding us of who Christ is. Not only the Son of God, which all of us can say, but more importantly the other roles that Christ has in life. He does many things and for us to be able to know these things will serve to bring closer to Him, which a True Believer wants.

“ One of THE BEST Sermons! ”
I have heard MANY of Henry's sermons and this one ranks at the very top of the list. Informational, simplistic, honest, instructional. I have a much better understanding of my place with God now. I thought I understood, but now I do understand. For those of you who aren't that familiar with Henry Mahan and his preaching - start here.

“ One of three Sermons ”
This is the 2nd of 3 sermons on the subject of "Who Will Be Saved". They all have pretty much the same information in them, but because Henry preaches the way that he did, they are all worth listening to. If you don't get it the first time, you might get the 2nd or 3rd time. There is very valuable information to be had for the soul who is seeking.

“ A Critical Question ”
Most people believe that they are saved just because of any number of reasons - they go to church, sing hymns, use the name of God or Christ, walk an aisle, make a confession, etc. But, it is God who calls His people to Him. As Henry explains, it doesn't have anything to do with what we do as human beings. It has everything to do with God. Henry lays things out simply and beautifully in this sermon, to the point that anyone who has ears can understand it.

“ Have You Looked To Chrst? ”
Accroding to Henry that is all we have to do is to look to Christ. Works won't do it, going to church every Sunday won't do it, tithing won't do it. Just one thing and one thing alone - looking to Christ. At the end of the day it's so simple and the majority of us miss it completely by making things so unnecessarily complicated. Thank you Lord Father in Heaven for using Henry Mahan to spread your Word.

“ It's All About Knowing Who To Listen To ”
Henry Mahan can reasonably be considered to be an authority on scripture. You see all these preachers that are held up as "experts" or "authorities" on the Word of God, but it's those lowly, unknown men who know more, far more than the so called "experts". Henry Mahan is one of those lowly men. When I want to learn about the Word of God, come to a better understanding, strengthen my faith, learn the Word of God, I come to Henry and I have yet to be disappointed. I only wish that I could have had the priviledge of being able to attend his sermons. But, thank God that He chose to preserve Henry's sermons so that someone like myself could benefit from them.

“ True Words of Salvation ”
This is truly a message of pure salvation. Henry has truly outdone himself as a messenger of God. I have never heard a sermon so true to the Word of God as this sermon. If you are not saved, listen to this sermon and come as close as a human can possibly come to being called by God to Himself. I am thankful that I was led to listen to this sermon and if nothing else this sermon proved that my salvation is true for me, this sermon did that. If only other "preachers" could listen to Henry so that they would know what a true preacher of God's Word sounds like. The joy of sermons such as this is a very special gift.
