“ Great Sermon! ” Thankyou Sandra, of course that is true! I suppose too that that's what he meant. I have a bad habit of getting caught up on small details sometimes... =)
“ Shocking? No ” The content of this sermon is not shocking to those who are familiar with the teaching of Jesus, John the Baptist, Peter, the Old Testament prophets--REPENT.
“ Overview ” The title says it all, for the most part. Christians should pray. Knew that. Jesus lived a life of prayer. Knew that. I think all Christians know they should pray, that is not the problem. I think the problem is they dont meet God when they are there; they dont hear from him or receive answers. My guess is that is why Christians in America don't spend much time in prayer.
Pastor Washer also mentions Christ's total dependence on the Father. This also is a model for us, but once again, most Christians do not hear from God when they pray, so I dont know how this helps. You can pray all day and night but if you dont enter into God's presence or feel as though you have been with Him or heard from Him then it profits nothing.
I have immense respect for Pastor Washer, I just dont see this sermon as addressing the real need today. It seems just another sermon of 'Do this, do that'. Christians have already heard it. Aside from this it is excellant; if you are a new member of the body you may find it motivating.
“ Great Sermon! ” I can't recommend this sermon enough, almost all the issues we are dealing with today, brother Paul deals with. You want to be at a biblical church? Check if the church follows what is talked about from Scripture. Praise God for this message!
“ Great Sermon! ” truth is just so beautiful and so exhilarating to hear especially in the king of climate we are in in this age. i thank and praise God for the amazing work He has done in the life of brother paul washer and through it. it's just so sad to know that even in the light if truth, many people still try to shun it, reuse to repent, and refuse to acknowledge which was evident when he was never invited again. may the LORD have mercy.. and i appeal to my brothers and sisters in Christ to pray hard for one another and for the lost and also to live a holy life for our prayers not to be hindered. may the Lord be glorified.
“ One of the Best! ” Paul's message is very convicting; to me one of his best sermons I've heard. Taking these truths and applying them would radically change one's life and attitude. I'm going to try.
“ Brother Paul is the best Preacher of our times! ” Paul Washer's sermons always bring me closer to the Lord. I pray that our Lord will keep him and his family.
