Great Sermon! I had the privilege of attending this Sunday worship service recently when I was out of town on business. What a wonderful church body at GCC, and what a great blessing to fellowship, feast, and worship with them. I heard this message after listening to about 4 hours of Jerry Bridges audiobook "The Practice of Godliness" which is all about the fruit of the Spirit. I took Ajith Fernando's "Call to Joy and Pain" with me, since I was in the middle of reading that. And I took a book out of my mailbox on the way out of town that had just arrived--Philip Kenneson's "Life on the Vine", also about the fruit of the Spirit. And 300 miles from home, there was no mistaking the presence of the Lord at work, not just in my own meager life, but in the lives of so many wonderful brothers and sisters I got to spend time with that Lord's Day. This message as well as Pastor Tim's from this same morning were a true blessing. I pray that all here who take the time to listen to these Spirit-enabled messages will be as blessed and encouraged by them as I was.
All blessings in Christ our King -

Great Sermon! It definitely convicted me to dress modestly. I knew that I had not been, but I did not care until a friend approached me about it. God led me to this sermon and to repentance for the way I was dressing.
Great Sermon! I really appreciated the predication of pastor Conway, remain as you are...
But I have a question.. my situation it's not easy, my husband was a christian and he left the church and he doesn't seek God anymore. In fact he demandes me divorce and now we are separated...
so, My question is: what do I have to do now? to remain divorced till JEsus arrived? or do I have the possibility to get married again to a christian person?
Thanks for answer to my question.
Great Sermon! So many men/women profess to know more than GOD. Why do I say profess. When they cross the line speaking for GOD, and adding to their agenda, the gospel. Have they not read where it is written in Revelation where a warning is added:Anyone who adds or takes away any part of the gospel written within..... But, again, people cannot be politically correct and still be serving the living GOD. You cannot serve and behave like the world, and profess to serve GOD. It is not lining up to the word of GOD. If the actions line up with GOD's WORD, then it is not what we as believers do this.
Re: Varughese Hey Varughese,
I will forward your question to Paul Washer. I did send you a longer response to your email address, but the short answer is that the O.T. believers looked forward to the cross (Genesis 3:15,21; Isaiah 53; Hebrews 9:15, Luke 24:44) and we look back to the cross.
Great Sermon! This is a rare sermon. I have very recently been told about this preaching and I am informing all my godly friends. It is good to have strong meat at last and strong truth that isnt watered down.
Saved me from Easy Believism This sermon and the "Examine Yourself" sermon by Paul Washer saved me from Easy Believism and lead me to desire a more intimate and true relationship with Jesus Christ.
Great Sermon! Thank you, my brother Richard, for this heartwarming testimony. It filled my heart with gratitude and praise for our LORD JESUS -- He is indeed merciful and gracious!
i've witnessed to my mom and uncle (just as your son Rick did to you) and was met with anger and condenscension. But GOD knows the desire of my heart that they be saved, for they are also in their late 70's and 80's. Your testimony showed me GOD's perfect timing.
i'll post this on facebook. Again, thank you so very much!
What a FAITHFUL GOD! How very Faithful the LORD is to grant unto us even in this desperately evil and late day preachers of Truth and Righteousness. Brother Paul, hold not back - declare the whole counsel of GOD and ever depend on HIM. Let those that have hears hear and believe. All glory to the Thrice Holy GOD.
Amen to the absolute truth I praise God for this sermon and the fact that He has led me to this truth. I thought I was saved before listening to this but I was lost. Paul you are a God sent and should continue this message. No one tells the truth anymore. I am saved today !
Gospel Permeated Prayer Paul Washer's urging the brethren he addresses in this sermon to balance their love for Truth and sound doctrine with a holy time of seeking God's presence, power and blessing; early, daily; is infectious! The earnest, heartfelt pleading of brother Paul for God's people to seek GOD first, to rely and depent upon HIM is permeated with the love of Christ. If you only "hear" the teaching and familiar urging to pray and do not "receive" the love of Christ through this sermon, you have missed something. Jesus Christ is alive and He is calling His people to prayer!
