Great Sermon! It was good to present amongst the congregation in Whiteabbey for this meeting where there was such faithful exposition of God's Holy and precious word. The word use SODOMY is Biblical, oh that Christians would get back to using this rather than tolerating GAY ?
May the Lord bless and sustain Paul in Whiteabbey church for many years to come. Romans 1 v 16
Challenging Pastor Dowling is very clearly and simply helping his congregation understand the meaning of Amos for today. These sermons are a great encouragement, especially this sermon when he talks about 'christians' who try to get other Christians to be a little looser in their obedience. As one who often does not have 'the courage of his convictions' I have been built up and strengthend. Pastor Dowling is not promoting legalism, he IS promoting obedience and holiness.
Great Sermon! This is a welcome sermon showing that our nation is indeed pagan and ripe for God's judgement. My question: why is our nation pagan? Much as I respect the good work of Christian Institue I wonder if it is addressed to the wrong folk-the ungodly Government rather than lost sinners who populate our nation? The majority who never hear the gospel. In Newcastle upon Tyne there is no open air reformed witness (amongst charismatic confusion) from churches involved with the CI and it is brethren who occasionaly come into the city from as far away as Luton. Questions then abound e.g. 'why is the word Dinnosaur not in the bible?' If University students are so bible ignorant and ask such a question does such not show that there is a need for tracting and evangelism and sound preaching by faithful Protestant churches? Our people need to hear the gospel preached and the BIBLE explained: ***but the labourers are few*** Matt.9: 37.
Yes we must pray but where are the willing labourers in many towns and cities in the UK? 'pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest'
These lost sinners may not be in church but every where you go you will find them. There may yet be so many of God's elect in our cities...how shall they hear?
Living in Obedience to God If you are not sure about Believers Baptism, this exposition of scripture will confirm that baptism is essential to live in obedience with God.
