Great Sermon! I'm very happy to share this sermon series before October 31 of 2014. It seems to me that once we open the door to allow unbiblical practices in the Church, it will be almost impossible to go back to the principles of the Reformation. I'm grieved that American Vision has compromised when it comes to Reformation truths and principles. I sincerely hope and pray they will take Pastor Schwertley's words in this sermon series to heart. Amen.
Great Sermon! You are very right on your view that friendship evangelism is unbiblical. (of course, we can evangelize friends, but it tell Christians to be deceptive in order to get coverts.) Unfortunatley, even my pastor advocates this method of evangelism. I would greatly appreciate if you spoke on this more pastor Schwertley.
Great Sermon! Pastor Schwertley, may you please address the supposed OT soon-to-be-fulfilled land and temple promises to the Jews and refute the dispensational lies, in a future sermon, thank you.
Great Sermon! This sermon is ABOVE EXCELLENT and is THE TRUTH. This culture is going deviant and insane. Jesus is ALWAYS Right. Thank You, Most Greatest, Gracious God. Even in Mathematics, ABSOLUTES are absolutely necessary, FOOLS........I am so hurt about this deviance. I am GRATEFUL for this MASTERPIECE Sermon. ABHOR EVIL.....ABHOR IT. yuk.....
No decision in regeneration I have not yet heard the sermon; my comment is solely based on the undeniable fact that regeneration cannot be achieved via the human will or the decision making process. I look forward to hearing this and the following sermon on spiritual ignorance. Let the debate/war begin.
Great Sermon! Dear Brother,
I read your article on Exclusive Psalmody and was greatly blessed by its clarity. We are a Reformed Baptist Church which since its inception has been committed to this practice. May God continue to bless your ministry for His glory.
Great Sermon! Great sermon need more preachers like this . Unfortunately to many conservatives . I've come out out of catholism and can't understand why Presbyterian s are running into pagan worship . How can the Protestants say that catholism is wrong but come this time of year celebrate it as the Roman Catholics do .
Appreciate your attention to this Scripture You cover the topic quite thoroughly. However, other than the context of Paul addressing public worship services as his topic here...how can you say that it means specifically only in public worship services?
Great Sermon! I do love to listen to Pentecostalists claiming that a sign of being baptised in the Spirit is speaking in tongues. Always makes me smile. Paul wished that all that heard him spoke in tongues (1.Cor.14.5), and on the day of Pentecost foreign languages were heard (Acts.2.8-19), so many kinds "of voices" (1.Cor.14.10).
The book of the Acts remains history, and confirmation of the Old Testament, not teaching in the way that Pentecostalists would have it to be seen, many of which are rich and yet do not follow Peter (Acts.3.6). "Silver and gold have I none", now translated private jet and mansion have I.
Great Sermon! This is an important sermon, and if anyone doubts that there are rival law orders seeking to impose themselves on this nation, I invite you to listen to an intriguing edition of the radio broadcast Crosstalk, entitled, "The Gradual Insinuation of Islamic Law into Society," which can also be found on SermonAudio.com. God bless!
Great Sermon! The Westminster divine, Daniel Cawdrey, reminds us of what early Protestant and Reformed theologians thought of the Jesuits:
[…] Papists, home-born Papists, who are vipers that most unnaturally have endeavoured to eat through their mother’s bowels. Not their nature only, but their Religion also, teaches and allows them for the Good of the Catholic cause, falsely so called, not to spare their own native Country, their own kindred, Brothers, Fathers, no not of their own Religion. To blow up Parliaments, to ruin Cities, Countries, Kingdoms, is their ordinary work. Especially of those, whom they call Jesuits, the Bellows of Hell, the Incendiaries of Christendom, at this day. The Curse of God is upon them fearfully for arrogating their Name from Jesus, which signifies a Saviour, and is impropriated to the Son of God: Thou shalt call his name Jesus. These men, that call themselves Jesuits, are, by the just judgement of God upon them, Destroyers of Cities, Countries, Kingdoms, and might far better take their name from him, who is called in Hebrew Abaddon, and in Greek Apollon, but signifying a Destroyer. Revel. 9. 11.
Daniel Cawdrey, The good man a public good. A sermon preached to the honourable House of Commons, at the late solemn fast: January 31, 1643 (London, 1643), pp
Great Sermon! This is an excellent sermon and truly speaks to today's Church, as well as teaching us about King Hezekiah, National Covenanting and what is true obedience to our God. May the good Lord continue to bless us with good, solid, sound preaching by Pastor Schwertley, and may he bless the Schwertley family for their faithfulness to His word.
Great Sermon! Another great job by Brian Schwertley.
I have listened to a few of Brian Schwertley's messages. I have never heard a person that is coughing and clearing his throat more than Brian. Gets a little distracting when he does it so often; it is a bit odd for a public speaker such as Brian. Perhaps he was ill with a cold each message I heard his speak…
Awesome! great sermon on the topic of theonomy. The good the bad and the ugly! I like pastor Schwertley because he's confessional, whereas many reconstructionalists are anti-confessional and independent.
