At my work right now I think I'm being "persecuted" or marked out at least for Christ's sake and to comfort myself through this scary trial I've leaned on verses that remind us to count it all joy. I've even rejoiced that our Lord has counted me worthy AND RIGHT THERE - bam - sin. Pride.
I hear myself saying, "I don't deserve this". Oh what irony.
I don't deserve the negative thing, nope, uh uh, but I ALSO don't deserve the honor that comes from receiving dishonor for the cause of Christ. What a wretch I am to look at how He's justified me and think "oh, is this the footwork for some glory coming my way?" Oh, brother. I deserve NOTHING. Thank you for this timely message.
May I pray rightly, ask rightly ... MORE HUMILITY FOR ME, LORD, PLEASE. May He glorify Himself and may I and especially my pride get out of the way.

“ Great Sermon! ” .I believe so many men of God tend to struggle with speaking from their own thought or mind but this was a sermon that was from God. I believe this sermon hits the core being of what a christian is supposed to be, and what we so called christians should be. Be encouraged that you are saved by God and not by man, because man sucks! Pardon my french, but best word to describe it.
“ Great Sermon! ” Incredible Gospel sermon, of of Paul Washer's very best. Something that we need so desperately to hear in our day. This sermon is one of the best Gospel sermons preached in many years I think. God bless him.

“ Good teaching on elders&pastors ” I agree with his teaching that men should not be elders in the church unless he has been gifted & ordained *by Christ* to be in that ministry. There are too many examples of men in that office who are not worthy. Desire or need is not enough, a man must have the spiritual qaulifications. And Tim is absolutely right that many people seek to be leaders with pride and self-exaltation as their true motive. Watch out for the man who loves titles, says Tim...

“ Great Sermon! ” God bless this brother for his courage and honesty. As a former homosexual myself I thank the Lord for testimonies like this. There is hope for the vilest of sinners and there is no sin that cannot be washed away by the precious blood of Christ.
“ Great Sermon! ” I just love John MacArthur for His uncompromising posture in ministry. Oh how I wish all preachers in this generation would be like him; then for a fact Christians would grow healthy with the word of truth. There are too many weak preachers out there and John is a wonderful, spirit-filled preacher who speaks the truth. Everytime I listen to him, my heart, mind and conscience begin to race because the truth he speaks, through and by the Holy Spirit convicts. There are too many shameful messages preached from the pulpit and I wonder what renders these preachers the chutzpah to do such things. That is total irreverence to the GOSPEL! “ Great Sermon! ” Amazingly, the only problem people have with John is that " He speaks the TRUTH"... I applaud him everytime I listen to his messages. This faithful man of God is today's reformation leader... He fights error like our reformation fathers. He is a voice needed to straighten the great detour of the church today. Those who say anything against him are only intimidated by his stance for truth. That is how it has always been with every generation. Every preacher who speaks the truth is a thorn in the flesh to those who preach heresy...
