The dangers of immodesty and indiscretion are prevalent in today's society. It's tempting for women to want to give in to the world's pressure and wear what is fashionable and available. But modesty deals more with the heart than the body.
In a Sunday message primarily directed toward women, C.J. Mahaney speaks from Scripture on the attitude, appearance, and allegiance of the modest woman.

Great Sermon! Great sermon to put in the CD player when on a long drive with daughters. They wont be able to escape and will definitely get why modesty matters after its over. Sermon starts slow but finishes well! cant wait to hear rest of the series.

Great Sermon! We men must remember that we have a choice as well. No matter how women are dressed Jesus Christ has given us the power to remain pure. God created woman bueatiful. . Their bueaty is not a curse it is a gift from God. Women do need to be modest but the men need to give their dirty minds to Christ

Great Sermon! I once had such a problem with immodesty in a Southern Baptist church I enacted a dress code. When I read the dress code from the pulpit the teenagers and their parents became so angry they wanted to fight me in the parking lot. Then I showed them I was reading from the public high school student handbook! Even the Catholic Church has more modesty than a lot of our churches do…shame on us.
Great sermon, excellent topic

All should listen! I would wish and pray that all churches would make this type of teaching available. It makes me thank God for a Godly dad who cared. I appreciate him so much now, because he was like this. ps.Why are more Mahanely sermons not available on SermonAudio, I wonder?

Great Sermon! It definitely convicted me to dress modestly. I knew that I had not been, but I did not care until a friend approached me about it. God led me to this sermon and to repentance for the way I was dressing.

Powerful Sermon! Every Christian woman and every Christian father should hear this teaching on Biblical modesty. CJ confronts this very sensitive issue without compromise but with great compassion. We sat under CJ Mahaney's teachings when he was a young minister and we were young Christians. His sermons were powerful then and it's wonderful to see they have not lost the power of the Holy Spirit.

Parents Must Listen!!!! Do not be deceived about your role as a parent - let the Word of God exhort, correct, rebuke and train you in raising your sons and daughters God's way. This powerful sermon was so encouraging to hear, it goes against not only the culture's idea of femininity and parental responsibility, but it goes against wishy-washy soft or just plain circumvented preaching on the subject as well. Highly recommended.

A Must Hear for Youth Ministers We need more sermons from CJ Mahaney! This sermon is beautiful in encouraging the raising of godly men and women from youth.
C.J. Mahaney as the President of Sovereign Grace Ministries leads its mission to establish and support local churches. He pastored Covenant Life Church 27 years in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and then handed the senior pastor role to Joshua Harris on September 18, 2004, allowing him...
