Phenomenal teaching - Thank you! Dr. Renihan, thank you so much for expounding on this great, but difficult teaching from the 1689. The way your pulled everything together and explained the Scripture and how it perfectly lines up with the description and office of the pope was mind-blowing! I have claimed to ascribe to the 1689 for the better part of a year now, but did not know this section was in there! (i'm still working on finishing reading/studying the entire confession)
But yes, fantastic teaching! I really like that you included your handout notes as well on SermonAudio so I could follow along. I have benefited greatly from your videos having to do with federalism and Baptist covenant theology as well. I was just blown away at your teaching concerning the Pope being a definitive fit for the AntiChrist! I was blown away at how perfectly he matches the Biblical description! I now fully support what the writers of the 1689 believed in this regard.
Thank you for your ministry sir, and God bless you. I will be searching through more of your sermons!
Excellent. Excellent message on Christ and His true Church. At times the message encroaches on the heresy of Baptismal Regeneration but overall quite an edifying message.
Great Sermon! Enlightening talk on historical theology and the creation. By that measure, some pastors under Reformed stripes might be disqualified if they were held to the classic confessions. Good talk but sobering.
Enjoyed the address Zachary, I Very much enjoyed your address on Keach's federal theology. You obviously have studied a great deal on this to prepare this address. I suspect you have written your address in the form of a research paper or something like that. Would it be possible to get a copy of the paper for further study? Thank you for your consideration.
Matt 5:33-37 I learned a lot from this sermon. But question the exhortation to swearing which directly contradicts the Lord in Matt 5:33-37. An oath shouldn't motivate us to Love but Christ's Love motivates us. We love because He first loved us
Great Sermon! Thank you so much for your message. I am not well today so I wasn't able to attend service in my church. I happened to stumble upon your site and I am really blessed by your message.
Great Sermon! 1689 LBCF
Chapter 26; OF THE CHRUCH
Paragraph 4. The Lord Jesus Christ is the Head of the church, in whom, by the appointment of the Father, all power for the calling, institution, order or government of the church, is invested in a supreme and sovereign manner; neither can the Pope of Rome in any sense be head thereof, but is that antichrist, that man of sin, and son of perdition, that exalts himself in the church against Christ, and all that is called God; whom the Lord shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.
This is 2nd Timothy chapter 4 and not Ecclesiastes this Sermon is preached by Campbell Colledge and not Rick Horist. They posted the wrong sermon. I sent TRBC an email about this a few weeks ago.
I would LOVE to hear Pastor Rick Horist's sermon that was supposed to be posted here.
It is from Ecclesiastes 5:1-7
I hope and pray TRBC finds that Sermon and then posts Campbell Colledge's sermon from 2nd Timothy. It is an excellent sermon.
Good Sermon on Good This is a helpful sermon. Certain concepts were made to be easier for me to intellectualize. Also, I learned some wonderful ways to explain to unbelievers and doubters about how God's wrath is a very good things. Additionally the example about how human judges are viewed as good or wicked in contrast to how God is wrongly viewed in these categories is also helpful.
Great Sermon! Thank you for explaining Moses' comments in Deuteronomy with understanding. Most Pastors will not speak much about this. A very helpful sermon to me.
