1. General Remedies For Male Leaderships In The Home
a. Receive Feedback
Open yourself up to input from others.
Ask your wife her opinion on matters.
Ask other people their opinion on matters.
Listen to the criticism from your wife.
Listen to the criticism from others.
Intentionally open yourself up to information, feedback, counsel, input, advice, and criticisms of others.
This helps remove arrogance and ignorance.
The fool is wise in his own eyes; he does not care what others have to say.
Proverbs 12:15, Proverbs 26:12
Proverbs 9:9 = Receive instruction, be taught, increase in learning.
Arrogant people say "I know, I know, I know" so that you stop talking to them.
A wise man says "I know, but I could know more" or "I know, but I could know it better".
Proverbs 11:14 = No guidance - You fall; Have counselors - Be safe
Proverbs 13:20 = Being with those who are wise increases wisdom.
Proverbs 15:22 = Without counsel, plans fail; With counselors, plans succeed.
Proverbs 19:20 = Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future.
Discernment is obtained through advice and instruction.
