“ Great Sermon! ” We forget about the work of the Holy Spirit in ministry, or in evangelizing, or in prayer.
This message is a needed reminder that apart from the Holy Spirit our labor is in vain.
May others be blessed in hearing Spurgeon speak on the Holy Spirit glorifying Christ.
“ Change vs Stability ” A certain US candidate has been promoting Change as a central theme of his campaign. Needed reforms and new directions can be good but too much change leads to instability.
May all of our leaders be firm and consistent in following well-grounded principles. May Christian profession be matched with a display of godly, Christian practice.

It's certainly one to be listened to again and again as it's such a tremendous blessing, definitely my favourite Spurgeon sermon out of all the ones of his I've heard so far (I've got over 1,400 left to listen to though!).

“ Great Sermon! ” I was attracted to hear this sermon as my current reading is AW Pink's study of Elijah, which book I can heartily recommend to all.
Rev Spurgeon's message contains the essentials of the nature and outcome of salvation, that glorious act of a sovereign God toward undeserving sinners such as I. Praise God for such faithful preaching, delivered to the people of a country known as Great Britain. How lamentable to see our once blessed land sunk now in depravity as biblical doctrines have been abandoned. May this word find a ready ear, and that of the multitude of the proud be rightly spurned.
"Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men."
“ March 9, 1862...Timeless! ” ...and STILL as true today!
If this were the only message we were ever allowed to hear, it is enough.
