“ God blessed ” Would that many more preachers exemplify the reverence for Scripture this pastor does before opening his Bible to read to the congregation. Each time I hear Dr. Duncan open up the word I am blessed by the Lord, am discipled from a distance, exhorted to love the brethren and my neighbor with the love of Jesus, and grow in grace. Thank you so much for putting these sermons online!
“ Great Sermon! ” The pastor presents many excellent points about unbelief, including the fact that unbelief is so harmful to us, by keeping us from getting a good night’s sleep, etc. And that unbelief is very infectious. We all need to listen to these truths and ask God to forgive us and help us to conquer unbelief in our daily lives.
“ Great Sermon! ” Amen! Jesus came to give us true joy, not what the world considers happiness. And celebrating the Lord’s Day every week is a big part of our joy, or should be.

“ Great Sermon! ” I listened to this sermon because my church is in the process of electing more elders and a pastor. It was an excellent exhortation of the qualities God requires in a man who would hold such an office. It was thoroughly based on scripture, especially 1 Timothy and Titus.
The sermon was from 2002, but it was surprisingly relevant for our nation’s current political crisis, since extreme Trump supporters broke into the Capitol building last week and vandalized it, an action which caused the deaths of five people. Back in 2002, this pastor rebuked the people in the pews for being so consumed with the subject of their political leaders, while spending so little time thinking and praying about leaders in the church, which is much more important. He said that governments and nations rise and fall, but Christ’s Church endures forever. Amen and amen!

“ Very compelling. ” It is very interesting to see the connections between the call of Elisha and his response and the calling of the disciples of Jesus and their responses in various gosples as well as Paul in Phillipians. Our response to Jesus's call is to loose everything for the sake of knowing Christ as Saviour and Lord.
