Great truth. I found most helpful this remark: it is not true that Christians who have faith will not get into trouble. Daniel because he had faith and stood for his God get into trouble.
Great courage. Blessed be God for giving the courage to stand for their beliefs to these young men. We must follow their example in our generation!
Great lessons. A message about the great days when God worked mightily in history (1859 revival, the 1960-70's of FPC). About a God who punishes sin and calls to repentance. And about a merciful God, who can work in our days mighty deeds as in past times.
Loving your family. A blessed message about a young man who cared for his family. We must also care about our family. Especially, we must pray and witness to those unsaved.
Great contrast. Two opposite ways, two opposite destinations, two opposite destinies. One large, ecumenical way, the other, the way of Christ as He revealed it in His Word.
Precious information. A message about a little girl who gave a piece of information which saved another man's life. At the same time, I think it is to read too much in the text to say that the girl had faith or trust in God. She didn't even know the prophet's name, she didn't mention God; she only spoke about a prophet who heals people. To consider her a hero of the faith is to read too much in the text. And to say that Naaman's wife disregarded the girl's advise is again to read in the text. I think the text assumes that Naaman's wife told her husband what the girl told her.
Bringing the Gospel to the youth. Sir:
Praise God that you took the courage to tell young people about the importance of committing to Jesus Christ now, in their youth, and wait not a moment longer, so they do not end to waste their lives on idolatry and foolishness. This is a vital message! As it is written in Ecclesiastes 12:1-7.
