A church on every corner... This sermon is excellent, talking about the good and bad of the Internet. The gospel online, from Northern Ireland and other places, is important because, at least in America, while there's a church on every corner it's hard to hear the old Reformed message about sin, repentance, and the blood of Christ. The Internet is a lifeline.
Great Sermon! Sunday I had just finished reading Hebrews 10: 35- and thinking upon confidence in God and the need for patience to wait often the performance of the promise when my eyes caught the verse on the opposite page- 'because she judged him faithful who had promised', just then looking up I noticed this sermon and read the verse 'I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me'.
Are you discouraged and seeking guidence? Do you believe God's promises-judging Him faithful who has promised?
This is a most helpful sermon! A couple of wonderful examples of God's providential guidence, especially listen with regards Shackleton.
Reformed witness in the city of Liberec. I thank God for His work in the Czech Republic and for His servants there! Amazing work of conversion in the life of a young drug addict.
FAME American listeners familiar with the Heart of the Matter program may find this interesting, because the speaker is involved with the FAME ministry frequently featured on that program.
Passing strange Do you find Christianity strange? The Bible does have a lot of strange stuff in it. This sermon may be of help if you're trying to understand what Christianity is all about, and why the Bible seems so strange sometimes, and why Christians seem strange. Give it a listen and hear the truth.
Practical Encouragement For Christians If you missed it the first time, don't miss it this time! Pastor Brown's sermon on Hebrews 12:1-3 brings out the practical aspects of this passage. It's encouraging and motivating to see how the Bible has these encouragements in it.
If you are not a Christian, listen and see how the Bible gives practical tips on how to run the race of life.
Important information Rev. Brown is pointing out some very eye-opening and important information in this message that I can testify to from personal experience. To my shame I have to admit that I used to have sexual desires for young boys and pedophilia definetely IS very closely related to homosexuality. In the gay "lifestyle" you are only sought after as long as you are young and nice-looking. When the sin of homosexuality is through with you you are cast aside like a piece of trash. It's only by the Grace of God that I was restrained from acting on these evil phantasies but I still struggle daily with the regret about having adopted the lie of a homosexual identity. Yes God forgives the repentant sinner but there may remain wounds in your soul you might have to carry with you for the rest of your life in this present evil world.
Great Sermon! This is again an excellent sermon on Homosexuality by one of few vocal ministers who not only rightly discern the signs of the times but faithfully warn in an up-to-date easily undestandable manner as they seek to combat wickedness . Maybe Rev Brown might consider producing some tracts to educate those who hear only gay propaganda misinformation? There is precious little written in brief yet an understandable format that one can distribute. The BCN newspaper 19th Jan. has an interesting letter by Barry Napier 'How To Oppose Homosexuality' with a link to http://www.gaysandfascism.com/ and a free download of a book 'Exploding The Gay Myth'. I am convinced we need more understandable well written material that offers compelling factual evidence that would convince most of society that as a nation we are being dangerously mislead and brainwashed to accept the Gay deception. Few young people will read an exhaustive book on the subject BUT many will read the right tract! How about it Rev Brown? "..for such a time as this.." You appear as the right man to do it and I am certain with the full support of the Free Presbyterian Church and every other christian brother and sister!
Great Sermon! I was told tonight that my father has cancer in his lungs, and is in hospital. He is not a Christian and professes not to believe in anything. I was in despair, as I have always prayed he would accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior before he died. I don.t know the outcome. I do know that Jesus is with me, in the midst of my pain. Everything is in his hands. Thank you Dr. Lindsay God bless you
Great Sermon! Just want to say a special "thank you" for the excellent concise short sermon on "What Protestants Believe" - it was encouraging and uplifting!
