Great Sermon! Recently I preached of the charge upon ministers of the word to tell the truth at funerals! The eulogy of a true saint has always been a rare occasion. What will a man give in exchange for his soul? His turn to die to self must be now, that he may live in Christ eternal. The straight gate is only wide enough for a naked sinner in repentance to squeeze through, no baggage. May it be said of us!
I am always inspired, convicted, and encouraged by your ministry Roger, thanks be to God.
Thorough Bible study on the topic There is much food for thought in this teaching session. Regarding the origins of the invisible world to which angels and demons pertain perhaps we should understand that this is not described in Genesis 1 because Genesis 1 relates by design what man needs to know about his origins, but not of angels. The tangible, earthly, or physical world, and the invisible one Ephesians 2 & 6 mention as 'the powers of the air', ought to be understood as two parallel coexisting worlds interfering at times but having their own purpose and significance in God's cosmos. However, as mentioned in the sermon Scripture is not totally silent about the origin of angels. On another note, perhaps demon possession in the West today might come maskarated by chemical intake, and yes, we find in Scripture that Christ, the disciples and Paul casted out demons, which perhaps cannot be completely identified with ongoing exorcism. The first is an inevetible consequence of God's power at work, advancing God's glory and design; the second is man trying to exercise command of evil spirits disconnected from God-exalting deliverance.
Re: Christopher Just to clarify my position on the Sermon. I'm referring to Roger's comment that he played music backwards and there was no sign of demonic voices or languages. This was only a small part of the Sermon which was not about the music industry but instead about demons.
Great Sermon! Hmmm...Id say it's pretty evenly divided. I'll have to listen to the sermon, but I hope it was given with an intimate knowledge of the music industry, and not just suppositions and guesswork. "I sold my soul for rock and roll" goes well beyond cliche and the lyrics to a song. There have been many rock and roll artists, as well as pop singers, even very current, who have confessed that they made a deal with the devil for stardom. Many kids who have murdered, mass murdered, committed suicide, and are Satanists have been linked to specific songs and bands they claim led them to do what they did. Dark things lead to dark things, and I believe Satan amd his demons are very alive, amd very well within the music industry, especially heavy metal, thrash, death metal, and the hate rap. Even the more seemingly innocent tunes can cause profound sadness and the feeling that the young listeners are losers in life and not worthy of life, etc.
Very Informative I really agree that there are so many things we can attribute to demonic activity. Demons have more interest in religion than they do in heavy metal music. A very good Sermon.
Loved this sermon! I've always loved this verse! Wonderful message So important for us to be reminded that our tears are precious to Christ. "Every single tear will sparkle as a jewel in God's eternity." Thanks so much :)
Great Sermon! Wonderful conviction and encouragement in this most timely message.
May we be baptized afresh by Christ with his Spirit and Fire and receive power to testify of his glorious salvation!
Spirit man + Spirit oil + Spirit wind = Spirit Fire...Revival!
Great Sermon! This is a sermon that fits today's 'Christianity'. It's refreshing to hear a preacher speak of biblical separation, and to point to the lateness of the hour.
May God be glorified and bless the faithful men who stand firm on His truth.
Thank You for your Ministry! I too was saved as a child (now 58) and still love to hear the Gospel, especially from a gifted evangelist like you. I just met your ministry through your 2015 sermon "The Great Falling Away" on youtube. I am a Reformed lay preacher that appreciates your style. I have not seen you attack the differing faiths, but just stick to The Truth! I preach to win souls and then continue to sharpen the irons. You have inspired me and are an asset to God's Kingdom people on Earth! Maranatha friend, Daniel "Scott" Rogers in the USA.
PS. My Grandparents "Scott" were from Glasgow
Great Sermon! Having listenedtothis sermon the second time oh that we would pray until we see the Holy spirit work in the salvation of many precious souls real challenge to myself
Great Sermon! I took this Shepherd as my Saviour many years ago and like old Jacob times I have thought when things were not going well all is against me, but o no the royal attendants have followed me (goodness and mercy) all my life. Dr. Cooke my first pastor when I became a christian, and his messages a blessing to my soul over the years, like the grapes of eschol he refers to in this message.
Great Sermon! Every word is true I agree whole heartily with listening to it again this evening again it's both a challenge n blessing how wrong we can be at times inhow we could judge other Christians.
