Great Message and very Accessible Michael Phillips is a talented speaker. This message proves it. He preaches to children and to adults on this very solemn topic and it packs a punch! His explanation of the passage is very good and the relevance for children and their parents is made obvious and clear. Not many men would be bold enough to speak this frankly to children whilst their parents are present. And not many men would speak to the parents about their parenting skills with the children present. Excellent, courageous and I'm sure God has used it wonderfully behind the scenes.
Excellent and Stimulating Lecture This was a really good lecture. It was full of relevant information and delivered in a passionate manner. Michael Phillips is a very gifted Church historian and presents Church history in a wonderfully exciting way. Praise God for him! This one of Wycliffe is especially helpful because there is so little known about this mighty man of God. Yet it sounds as though this man was as vital to the Reformation as Luther and Calvin.
Great Sermon! I hope you will now continue to submit sermons on Sermon Audio. I greatly enjoyed your older series and was sad when they seemed to come to an end.
A Must Hear Sermon! This is the best sermon that I have heard on the Harold Camping and Family radio issue. Unlike many who have ridiculed and poked fun at Mr. Camping, Brother Michael Phillips carefully examines in much detail what led Mr. Camping to this present state. More than anything, Brother Phillips brings out the danger of those who say that they do not need the theology of gifted men of the past and reject it, because they have their Bible and their own interpretation of it! This according to Brother Phillips was one of the main causes of Camping’s fall into error. Mr. Camping was unwilling to listen; not only to sound theologians of the past, but even to those of the present who tried to correct and counsel him. A must hear sermon, preached in the right spirit!
Great Sermon! i really enjoy listening to your sermons brother philips, i hope that there will be many more to come(i really enjoyed church history series)
How God uses His people for His Glory. I was blessed by listening to all the lectures on church history. Thankyou for your great commentry on it.I loved Mary Jones. That really was a beautifull story and to treasure our bibles more than anything else. Dont depise little things. God uses anyone with a willing heart is an encoragement to us all.
Great Sermon! This has been so interesting and inspiring
to learn about these amazing missionaries.
But we are not to worship them, but learn from them. To expect great things from God and have the faith to act on it is the key to it all. Thankyou
Great Sermon! I listened to this series on spiritual depression. Good practical teaching that is very helpful, for me the one on regrets was just what I needed to hear. Thankyou Michael for your compassion to those of us that struggle with these things.
Excellent overview Pastor Phillips offered a succinct overview of some of the ket figures of the anabaptist movement, as well as briefly delving into some of the key teachings of the often misunderstood group. Although they certainly got some of their teachings wrong, there is much to be admired, and learned, from this group of believers.
Temptations and secret sins. Other 3 instruments to help you examine yourself. Especially the attention given to special temptations and secret sins is very useful.
Thank you... For years, I've been afraid to witness to strangers, but after hearing your sermon, it blew me away. Thank you and God bless your ministry.
Awesome Message, but Dissimilar Situations pt 2 Three exceptions to my previous comment though: 1) for native believers in 'mission field' countries, this is absolutely a perfect sermon. 2) if Christians in America take hold of this message AND make a proactive effort to reach unreached people groups that are living within our country, it can be effective. Those new believers can then act as ambassadors for Christ among their own people. 3) American Christians can reach out to the unreached in other countries online as long as they are sensitive to cultural differences and not too much gets lost in translation.
I believe that the message you preached is happening in many places around the world and many believers are living like those first Christians. The church in China has grown like crazy in the last 50 years. About 90% of all pioneer mission work is being done by the native believers inside their own countries.
So if the audience is Americans, it's not really a 'mission strategy', but it can bring revival to our nation and it is a good message for all evangelization efforts everywhere.
