John G. Payton, born in Scotland in 1824, was a missionary to what was called at that time the New Hebrides, today called Vanuatu. It was a place where no missionary effort had occurred before. He took his wife and small child with him to serve God by telling others about Christ. After a few short months he had to bury both his wife and child because of an epidemic disease that was spreading across that small island. Through many years of faithful work the island went from no believers to no un-believers among the cannibal tribesman. Payton died in 1907 at the age of 83.TRANSCRIBED SERMONS ON OUR WEBSITE
