Pastor Phillips gives us many examples and illustrations of the faithfulness of many of the 16-century, who were willing to die for their convictions. Many of these people had wrong or bad doctrine but were convinced that their beliefs should be based on the scripture alone until shown otherwise and would not be swayed by traditions and confessions of the Catholic Church. Some of these sermon notes are available on our website.

Great Sermon! Brings out well what Anabaptists stood for, and still stand for! It is all about Christ and what Christ said! Heaven was the sweetest sound to them! May we serve Christ as he told us!!!

Excellent overview Pastor Phillips offered a succinct overview of some of the ket figures of the anabaptist movement, as well as briefly delving into some of the key teachings of the often misunderstood group. Although they certainly got some of their teachings wrong, there is much to be admired, and learned, from this group of believers.

Great Sermon! Interesting point about Baptist distinctives regarding intepretation of Scripture, one I have heard elsewhere from the Reformed side. I do not believe, however, that Baptists need to repudiate "good & necessary inference" to justify their doctrines Biblically. Indeed, the credobaptist argument relies on this to reject the paedobaptist position!

Wonderfully Spoken! This was a powerful message on the Anabaptists. May I never take my believers baptism for granted. So many suffered for the sake of the truth regarding this. We are truly blessed in our country today for the religious freedom that we do have. Thank you for another great message, Pastor Phillips.
