Great Sermon! An excellent message, so why did you quit without developing the proper response to such developments in our times? It is as if your counsel would be most useful, if you would but express it AND develop it, rather than just leaving it as a conclusion to sum it all up. Please continue your series as to what God is calling us to as reformed believers in today's world, for we have many who are friends and also who are faithful to the charismatic movement. It hurts the life of the Christian faith, teaching, and life expression in our lost and deceived world. By all means, please continue training us in how then we should react, live and deal with this.
Great Sermon! I have just come across a website that compliments this view. Protestantissues.com. It truly answers the question as to what Armageddon is and that the thousand years are not literal
Great Sermon! Thank you for this. God has called me to reach out to Catholics. My family is Catholic. I am surrounded by neigbors who are Catholic. I have a heart for reaching them with the truth of Jesus. This is such a great learning and teaching tool for me. May God continue to bless this ministry. I am fighting the emergent church also in the Nazarene denomation. This helps me in both. Jesus never needed help. I can connect the dots, when I read the Word. I want the eyes of the blind to be open. I pray that God will use me daily to show those who are blind the one who can give them sight.
Excellent Sermon! Dr Masters is a supurb pastor, preacher and teacher. In his years at the metropolitan tabernacle (Spurgeons) he has dealt with just about every distortion of Biblical Christianity and The True Gospel that there is, and this series is a shining example. Listen and be edified.
He has just wriitten on the "new calvinists", and his book "Not Like Any Other Book" on biblical interpretation of The Bible I can highly reccomend.

Great warning. Useful message, great warning, we must learn better to discern the teachings of many who consider themselves as evangelicals, but who distort some or more Biblical teachings.
Calvin the Reformer. Calvin as Reformer in his second stay in Geneva. Not only an ecclesiastic reformer, bur a reformer in morals, in social and political life. Excellent presentation of the circumstances of Servetus' death and of Calvin's victory over the party of the Libertines. And finally Calvin as a reformer of worship.
Ecclesiology of Calvin. Life of Calvin until 1541, the 3 years spent in Strasbourg. A good presentation of his ecclesiology from the Institutes. Answers for problems life: what is the church, church government. His views on the Lord's Supper. In comparison with the other views.
Thanks for posting! Thank you so much for posting this. I have been wanting to read this book for a long time and haven't been able to. I'm able to listen to audiobooks at work, though, and I should be able to get right to it!
Excellent reading Thank you for this reading!
I read "Lectures" many years ago from a sick bed. It was a blessing then and I look forward to listening to it as you have time to record it. God bless you brother. Mark Fitzpatrick. Dublin. Ireland. www.sermonaudio.com/arann
Great Sermon! One thing that struck me about this message is that Pastor Masters does not bow down to anybody's "sacred cows." From Harold Ockenga, Billy Graham, John R.W. Stott, Carl Henry, to even the Tyndale Bible, J I Packer, Walter Kaiser's "dry as dust" Bible exposition, Campus Crusade are each weighed in this balance and shown where they are found wanting. And yet I must agree with him because none of these persons' works are in my library except a couple of yet unfinished Packer books.
The lectures remind me of Iain Murray's work, Evangelicalism Divided, but continues in an excellent outline of how to properly examine the contents of Sacred Scriptures and teach the same.
A Must Hear Sermon! Exposure of yet another of today's fads, which is nothing less than infidelity going under the name of "evangelicalism"!
If only people revered the word of God and took the regulative principal seriously!
May the Lord open eyes!
Absolutely essential ! Superb analysis and critique of the new school of hermeneutics being taught in virtually every so called "evangelical" seminary these days. The layperson is completely unaware of what these potential pastors are learning and only discover after these men enter the ministry what disasterous consequences flow from utterly rationlistic hermeneutics.
Great job Dr. Masters!
Great Sermon! Good Sermon!
The speaker presents the underlying flaws and weaknesses of Rick Warren's Purpose Driven Church Model.
However, it would have been nice if the speaker also presented some of the strengths of P.D.C (e.g. It's emphasis on God's eternal purposes of the Church: Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship, Ministry, and Fellowship and the need for churches to balance these purposes in order to be truly healthy).
