Great Sermon! I would like to add to the list of investments. Let's invest in a little land so we can grow some food for our families and others. Let's invest in skills to grow and prepare the food. Let's stop supporting big businesses that pay slave labor and try to control everyone and start investing in small local businesses. Let's invest in our neighbors by loving them and sharing the gospel. 😀
Great Sermon! Please see Edmonton sun article (1 week ago) on there butchering of the pastor of Gracelife.ca homepage and"defiance"
Canada's light is flickering, we need God's mercy
Myths The founders, at best, were deists, if not unitarian talking the lingo of Christianity, while the colonists were British citizens with taxation status to the Crown financing stationary armies. Nothing alarming, far from tyranny
Great Sermon! As long as receiving a vaccine remains voluntary, there should be no problem. Being first in line for experimental medication is ok if you have a great chance of dying anyway. Cancer meds come to mind. Covid 19 has a very low death rate, calling for a different approach. Following the science doesn’t mean following the politics.
Great Sermon! Interesting debate.
However have we not been here before?
All vaccines in history had to be tried and tested by time and application to the human body. Did they work? Has man found cures for some of the most deadly diseases? Of course!
Doubt is a form of human research, without it we may make mistakes.
Quote: "But sometimes there is an adverse reaction if it is claimed that verification never proves the truth of a scientific law. Is it worse to “attack†science, or to “murder†logic?" (Gordon H Clark) (Science and Truth)
Great Sermon! I have a friend who owns a successful one to two crew landscape company. He told me that a $15 minimum wage would kill his business. He's been at it for 14 years. All his employees love him. (Including me. I worked for him one summer when I was in high school.) He's generous and takes good care of you, he just can't realistically pay you that much. The flip side is that he can't hang on to employees long term because he doesn't pay as much. Not that he's a bad boss, he just can't pay that much. And the employees have to support families. Here's the problem with the other side of the issue. They have to have higher pay because of artificially high prices and an artificially high standard of living. This is because of government involvement. So more government involvement won't help.
No, they belong to the same C S Lewis was a spiritualist. He did not borrowed his knowledge of mythology from his humanistic training. Rather his personal knowledge of the occult comes reflected in his narratives. Any advocating otherwise is trying hard to assimilate culture rather than analysing it correctly. It is a travesty to put Lewis on the same platform as Bunyan or Defoe whose narratives were clean from such content with distinctive teaching, and not entrailed in esoteric or mysterious knowledge. The gospel when portrayed has to be distinctively presented. In justifying Lewis Christians are desperately redeeming culture in vain.
Concern We agree with the above comment and feel led to add that there hasn't been any "science" to prove that the microwave produces equally healthy food or that it's safe. I also haven't found a "scientific" study proving that vaccines are safe and do not cause harm. I also realize that I could be wrong and would love to see a study if one exists. It is prideful to act as though people that are concerned about the safety of something are fools.
Long time listener first time messenger. What about Romans 12:2 and John 15:19.
Dan Brown sounds like every college professor I been instructed by. Some things he was spot on witching and homeopathic medicines. But everything else was the rhetoric of the liberals.
I really enjoy this broadcast was sorry to hear this content toda.
Great Sermon! Good analogy between questionable mandated mask wearing in public for questionable health benefits, and mask wearing by those in the church for the benefit of looking like, rather than being an open hearted Christian. In both cases, would it not be beneficial for pastors to be teaching how to recognize deception, either that from authorities, or that from self?
Relevant points addressed This discussion touches only the surface of a deep and complex problem in the Western church, yet truly specific repentance about wrong perspectives is overdue
Vital discussion and useful conclusions Average Western Evangelicals need to repent for having worshipped the media, - cartons and entertainment included, for the last 70 years.
All news channels feed from the same doctored 'authorised' top media source, so there is no escaping the monopoly. There is virtually no autonomous news source. Alternatives do not exist. Be aware also about how news are *selected*. E. G. Evangelical happenings do not make it to the front pages except for scorn.
Hence the same range of topics, bias agendas and mantras, are perpetuated by all agencies, which when followed and believed manipulate all. Surely he that holds the monopoly of information controls the masses, a principle known among communists and tyrans. Pastors have lost the actual plot, as instead of advicing on media fasting, they are glued to news bulletins and media platforms more that ever to comply. It is established that any living by the media will eventually die by the media. The adulterous friendship with politics need to be broken, as how can two walk together with different goals? A fallacy. Finally, not any kind of random prayer is needed, but unidirectional prayer, rebuking Satan and pleading for his grip to be losen from this world-wide hour, while he and his powers are put to flee by the Almighty.
