Great Sermon! This is a great message that the reformed community needs to hear. As a reformed baptist myself, I wish more people would realize the importance of sanctification and holiness. They need to realize that it flows naturally out of our reformed beliefs
Great Sermon! This text was my morning reading for today. I use the MacArthur study Bible and in the notes it said the lesson to Elijah in the still small voice was that God is still working even when it is not noticeable and that brought so much comfort to me. I get so discouraged praying for the salvation of loved ones. My faith was strengthened to keep at it. I was also blessed to be reminded that God will bring justice where there hasn't seemed to be any, for which I have struggled for some time. Thank you.
Great Sermon! Three are not many in the church who pay attention to the Adventists. I am glad to see someone like Phil Johnson address them. For some reason they don't get the type of attention that Mormonism or jws do.
Great Sermon! I always like listening to Don. Now I know why, hearing he spent time at GTY. I need to trust God's character more. I live at times thinking 'what if God doesn't provide for me' and do things my way. I usually end up in trouble more often than not
Great Sermon! Mike Riccardi is a modern-day Jonathan Edwards. I wish more people knew of him. His messages are a truly wonderful resource and gift from God.
Great Sermon! This really saddens me. I wasn't aware that such a magnitude of people are offended by something so invaluable as the substituniary atonement of Christ. Amazing. Not so much for those outside the camp, but for professing Christians. I can only surmise due to a low view of God and a low view of His holiness.
Great Sermon! Thank You for this message! I was encouraged and blessed by this message.
The first message God gave to the "Father" of the faith was "to separate". Thanks Again!
Great Sermon! I appreciate this sermon, having escaped myself from an emergent church. The seriousness of this problem cannot be understated as it is almost impossible to trust in any church once you've been in something like this. Because emergent see no one as having truth then everyone is included to an extent, so they extend fellowship and acceptance of any church or organization that calls itself Christian or simply talk about Jesus. That is why small group studies in my church included Rick Warren, Joyce Meyer, Joseph Prince etc. because they all do talk about Jesus. They also love mysticism and especially catholic mysticism. So they bring in things like contemplative prayer and retreats that are anything but Biblical. In fact on one women's retreat I actually saw a woman become demonically possessed with complete writhing on the floor. They also then believe in prophets for today so if someone has " a word" it's ok to say and they accept unbiblical gifts such as one woman who claimed to have the gift of being able to see demons. They then see faith healers and every kind of occultic activity is accepted. They are very trendy, as mentioned and often name their churches " the (something)". Our emergent pastor upon arrival at our church did this. It's more than scary and dangerous.
