“ Great and Needed Sermon! ” A very comprehensive sermon on the just and perfect and yes vindictive justice of God, as used to be taught, which is perfectly just and holy targeting his enemies and all unrepentant sinners because he is a judge and will by no means clear the guilty although he is slow to anger. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God who sees everything and accumulates evidence in his Heavenly Court where he needs no counselors.
The wrath of man is arbitrary, vengeance is unjust because of corrupt nature that distorts judgment and even runs to shed innocent blood. There is no collateral damage with God's justice. It is perfectly aimed and unavoidable.
By his wrath he's overthrown kingdoms, civilizations, and World superpowers so he will not look away from America's sins either. Bloodthirsty and corrupt Nineveh and Babylon are warnings as well as the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. as Jesus specifically prophecied.
“ Deeply soul-penetrating sermon ” I have listened to this sermon numerous times, and every sermon that comes from Pastor Green's pulpit has always deepened my relationship with Christ, which is why I listen to his sermons repeatedly. because they are never mindless sentimental reruns nor merely detached intellectual and academic lectures, as I experienced in the OPC. Can't commend Pastor Green enough: he speaks from the heart.
“ Great Sermon! ” I have listened to this sermon so many times, and it is why I love and treasure Pastor Green, and it is a sermon I have heard from no other pulpit in the superficial spiritual wasteland of the Chicago suburbs.
“ Balance needed ” While denouncing and demonstrating in Scripture things against false religion, abstaining from certain things, there are also scriptures denouncing sensuality, "make no provision for the flesh to satisfy the lust thereof", encouragements to fast at times, and warnings of false prophets as in Jude who are marked as sensual persons, in lifestyle. Esau sold his Birthright for some stew. We are taught by Paul to walk by the spirit and not according to the flesh, our body still have corrupt affections and desires and the spirit Wars against the Flesh and the flesh against the spirit.
Both PETA and Vivek Ramaswamy as a Hindu both say it's wrong for people to kill and eat meat, and this seems to be increasing new morality.
“ Great Sermon! ” This is an excellent exposition of the. Very good describing what it means and what it is saying. Not to mention what it does not refer to. Must also say it is as practical as an expositor of the Bible could ever get. This is one you certainly do not want to just gloss over. Thank you and glory to God.
“ Great Sermon! ” This sermon is why I am so deeply grateful to God for Pastor Green, because the pastor he saw in his adversity was as useless as the useless WTS lecturer at the useless OPC in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
“ The Resentment of Sinners ” "The resentment of sinners"--this explains so very much the hostility of the anti-Christian workplace, when you quietly and respectfully decline to participate in their wicked and hedonistic sin, when you quietly stand apart from their toxic backstabbing gossip and don't participate in it, especially when you work with a group of toxic, resentful women.
“ Great Sermon! ” This is absolutely excellent. If you have heard countless claims from atheists that they are perfectly able to be 'good' or that they can explain the existence of the universe and everything in it, then this sermon is for you.
“ Wow! This was wonderful! ” I have not heard better teaching than from you and John MacArthur! I have been glued to your teaching being thoughtful and enlightening ! I listen to your teaching over and over learning and being blessed every time! Just wish GCC was closer to Riverside County! Lol
