Wow! This sermon was given 40 years ago and although I heard things in this sermon that I have never heard in any other sermon, I believe it is the truth and worth listening to. Worth your time.
The Title Says It All Superb! This fine pastor went to heaven many years ago but his words are still relevant and needed. PLEASE listen to this tremendous sermon that will always be relevant.
THE TRUTH MATTERS! This is the truth that needs to be heard. "Satan is a liar and the father of all lies." A lie is a lie. The end never justifies the means. The huge emotions surrounding Christmas make it addictive. Christ did not remain a baby. He is not a baby now. We are not suppose to worship a baby. We are supposed to worship our Risen Lord who is seated beside God the Father. These traditions are protected because churches everywhere have become "horizontal" and not "vertical." The vertical relationship with God through Jesus Christ is the purpose of worship. Looking at people and concentrating on other people in church is not the purpose of worship. Stirring up emotions was never the purpose of church. When lies are approved and protected, the Holy Spirit is quenched and grieved. Christians are becoming numb to the conviction of the Holy Spirit and cultural traditions and customs promote this. When one stops listening to the conviction of the Holy Spirit they are capable of any sin. They then seek to be filled by the world's lies. This sermon is magnificent and is THE TRUTH. Every pastor in the world should listen to this sermon. Don't shoot the messenger. God will protect the messenger. But Romans chapter 1 indicates that God will eventually leave the sinner to his sin and his judgement.
Great Sermon! People need to listen and understand that God is holy and He only deals with righteousness and truth.
The bottom line is; if the date of Messiah’s birth hasn’t been given to us by in the Word of God, then why is the church busy making ‘Merry’ on a lie?
A modicum of truth mixed with lies is the worst means of deceit.
Racism: Violation of Kingdom Law This sermon clearly demonstrates that all manner of racism is clearly a violation of Our Lord's Kingdom Law. Thus, racism is clearly a sin. The example in Acts 10:34-35 clearly shows that The Lord is no respecter of persons. Being racist is being a respecter of persons, which is clearly a sin. Our Lord's Kingdom Law is The Only Law that can rid the world of sinful racism. The real cause of racism in this world is human sin. Very helpful sermon in response to the issue of sinful racism.
Great Sermon! I agree with Pastor Ollis' sermon. I prayed and asked the Lord to show me the truth and He did. The problem I have with Calvinism is that people call themselves Calvinists. How is that different from Buddhist? Associating themselves with a man and not with Christ Jesus? Also I have never found tulip in the Bible but there is the rose of Sharon and the Lily of the valley which is a reference to our Precious Lord Jesus. I know Spurgeon preached this and he is well respected but he is just a man. Capable of error. We all just need to get back in God's word and read, study and pray asking the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth. Calvinism is a stumbling block. The lost may say " what's the use"? And the already saved may doubt their salvation. The devil is good at twisting God's word. He's tricky. If you forget that. He's got you!
Great Sermon! Amen Bro. Charles, outstanding sermon, this is why we must pray daily for our President and his cabinet members, and our local government. Thank you Lord.
Great Sermon! Wow. Someone needs to apologize to that Pentecost crowd that received his word and mistakenly all got baptized. And Cornelius and all the rest.
No one is claiming baptism precedes saving grace but why start our Christian life in disobedience?
Btw. The thief on the cross lived and died under that old dispensation...
The thief on the cross wasn’t baptized or didn’t get to repent. We need to be born again sir. Jesus said ye must be born again. God leadeth is to repentance have u read Romans 2:4, Godly sorrows worketh repentance 2 Corinthians 7:10. Brother please understand dispensations are key to salvation. Jesus said the LAW and the PROPHETS ended with jOHN so johns message is not Jesus message. We live in grace brother not by my works of repentance
