Great Gospel Sermon! "Faithful is he that calleth you" (to this work)... "who also will do it". When God puts His Word in the mouth of His man He causeth the sheep to hear and rejoice. The works that accompany faith are the fruit of the Spirit, & He makes all His people know that their fruit is from Him & we agree & rejoice that it is that way.
Great Sermon! On Job 9:2 brotherTate preached. Those 3 miserable friends preached a Christ-less comfort to brother Job. All (3) pointed Job to himself; the flesh to “fix” the issue our God purposed & sent His just Job (the man). Their “lie” is preached by men using the word “grace” but by it have an entirely aberrant meaning than God the Holy Spirit' intention. The (3) had a gospel devoid Representation & Substitution yet, they demanded Job fix the problem with God himself. Now, on to Job (as a picture of the Lord Jesus Christ) & how these (3) represent the “Cause of God” and “How a sinner is made just before a Holy God”. Our Lord Jesus was separate from sinners; He is the perfect man described is Psalm 1; the Righteous Servant of God. Though He honored His Father, honored the Law, was the perfect Good Samaritan and Shepard (His Father's Darling Son in whom His Father was well pleased) the application, for us, is in ”the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, He saved others; himself he cannot save”. Hence, there was no Representative or Substitute found for Him, who is called FAITHFUL; who as the God-Man, was made sin for sinners! He had to die for “He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him”.
Great Sermon! Nice solid take on the war in the middle east etc. And about who is in control of all things pertaining to all believers, not unto us, but unto Him who is Sovereign!!!
Great Sermon! Excellent message of its all about Christ and not what we do or not do. Religion thinks their pleasing to Christ but the only thing that pleases God is Only Christ. So look to Christ.
Great Sermon! What a tremendous blessing to me!
Because of Christ My Righteousness
My feet shall not fall!
Thank u dear friend for preaching these profitable words to me!
Excellent Sermon Praising God for the revelation & earnest given brother Clay on the text detailing the NT commentary on the chapter as we heard & read of the predestinating purpose of God, in CHRIST, for his people in 740BC which was the same at the time Paul wrote Romans & Luke wrote Acts which remains the same when brother Clay preached (2009) as when brother Frank preached from the text (2014). Isaiah 17:7 was so reassuring "at that day" the time of love every chosen sinner will, by the work of GOD look to CHRIST our Maker whose "eyes shall"... What GOD commands HE provides in the new birth and HIS spirit residing in us, and "he shall not look ....". If GOD does the work of HIS gift of repentance then, the person trusting in CHRIST does not, like to dog, return to his vomit, as some men preach that the believer returns to his altars, the works of his hands, he groves and the images. Not if GOD does the work! We are by our old nature SIN and we do sin however as GOD eyes things, we are justified in HIS sight "if" it is HE who has done the work! I believe that and this message provided assurance that we are saved to the uttermost. Bless GOD.
Great Sermon! Thank you brother Clay for this message.. “Of this man's seed (David) hath GOD according to HIS promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, JESUS” (ACTS 12:23). The promise is established upon the Seed promised which is Christ Jesus our LORD before HE formed the worlds, and was made-sure before HE “Having made known unto us the mystery of HIS will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in HIMSELF” (EPH 1:9) “According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our LORD” ( EPH 3:11). It is impossible for our tiny depraved minds to conjure-up, enter-into or process until God, according to HIS promise, raises us up in the new birth providing, for each, faith and grace to believe in THE PROMISED ONE. It is so glorious and beyond imagination (the wisdom of this world calls it foolishness & madness) yet GOD sends forth the Spirit of promise whereby we rest in everything HE has made know to us by HIS Spirit. Hence, we have this hope (Ephesians 1:17-20) so our confidence is CHRIST, and if we are found in HIM then, we possess CHRIST in us the hope of glory according to the purpose of GOD.
Great Sermon! This series of three (3) messages preached by brother Clay has blessed me. The flock at SGCPNJ is truly blessed to have such a workman, who studies the WORD and our GOD has answered his prayers concerning the preaching because this message excellent and is sorely needed for the church today. Some local assemblies have never had a message preached from Romans 14. My point of reference is Scott Richardson (1981) and Henry Mahan(1982) who both brought messages on Christian Liberty from Romans 14. The very next time the topic was preached was by Brother Marvin (2008) and brother Frank (2008).
Great Sermon! Outstanding sermon topic and preaching on this oft neglected topic, which is so necessary for the church. In the st century, the persecution was fierce and the need for this mindset and attitude on the part of each member of the BODY was crucial. With the absence of the persecution, the church has lost sight of this aspect of "new" life, which brother Clay has preached and taught. Thank you.
Great Sermon! Great preaching on the attitude of the new heart towards brethren. May GOD work that grace and burden in the hearts of all HIS people.
