“ Great Sermon! ” I love Hebrews. Besetting sin, unbelief weighs us down cause we don't look to Christ alone or at all. We are led by the Holy Spirit of God, that does not quit till we look again unto Christ for rest from sin daily. The trinity tri unity are always faithful to teach us this over and over again. Once we are turned again by Him, we are then willing vessels to do same to our brethren, showing mercy rather than judgement to them, giving glory to God alone. You said all this in sermon, just putting it out there for others to possibly read and listen to this sermon. Amen

“ Great sermon ” proving our own work is not leaning on our own ways or trusting in ourselves. But as you said, it's trusting in what God has taught us and revealed to us, in humility. It's not convincing others of the truth of Christ so we could boast not others convincing us. Otherwise we would take the glory of the cross away and the Power of the Gospel unto salvation would not be. Zechariah 4:6 We need to be slain by God daily Colossians 2:6 Galatians 2:20 so that he alone is our only righteousness. Great and calming sermon

“ Awesome sermon ” wow, wow, wow 2 billion ways. Pure pure pure Gospel of good news of what awesome work God wrought worked for us on our behalf. Everyone needs to hear this. As you said if the lamb was clean but the last hair you checked was blemished it could not be accepted. But when He was accepted as our Substitute on our behalf He was then judged and executed by God by strict judgement righteous judgement. what a savior what a savior what a god we have. Wow indeed!!! “ Awesome sermon ” the more God shows us our weakness and that same measurement he shows us his strength. 2 Corinthians 12:10. Not vice versa. For this to occur he must shoe our flesh to be totally weak and ourselves to be worms (maggots indeed). we feed on death, we are death and are going to death. Only by his abiding grace can we see this and daily be raised up to see him as our All.
“ Great Sermon! ” Jesus said father I will. since the father I had a plight the men could not ever obey his commands in a true heart and in love toward their God, God fully trusted his son in place of them as our substitute with this daunting task. so we have got the father and God the Son and the son of man Jesus Christ in the Covenant. because Christ can only obey the Covenant and the father sent him to do it and he fully obeyed, on this and this only does Christ say father I will. the unity of the trinity in our salvation is truly awesome, so what Christ asks the father he ultimately gets. and the spirit of God applies it to our hearts initially and daily. this a mystery that is revealed through Christ and his gospel amen

I should be shocked that God shows Mercy through the Gospel of Jesus Christ to me a dead dog sinner. but in the same manner he keeps on showing me mercy so I should not be shocked. how can God save a sinner he has to slay a sinner and then raise him up from the dead by his spirit amen

“ Great Sermon! ” It use to rub me the wrong way, which God saves (delivers) by the gospel the word that comes from his mouth. Also us his saints mouth as we proclaim grace mercy out of our mouth. This is primarily in the church where he is preached, but he also uses us daily in everyday situations. Saints bow to his word preached.
