“ Great Sermon! ” What a great and powerful sermon that is certainly applicable for today. We should be strangers and aliens in this lost and fallen world.
Mark 7:6 And He said to them, “Rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far away from Me. 7 ‘But in vain do they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.’ 8 “Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men.â€
“ Great Sermon! ” I appreciate the teaching. I have questions though
1. If the church leadership allocates a service to be led by women is it still not allowed for a woman to teach in this circumstance?
2. In submitting women often find themselves in churches chosen by husbands. Often if the husband is in leadership the wife is assumed (in these churches) to also have some role that husband has including preaching in church occasionally. What is the wife to do, take the role & teach too? Not as a teacher but to occasionally teach/preach when asked?
“ Great Sermon! ” Must separate and avoid and don't mingle politics with preaching. With this association, Governments will begin to take notice and interfere in preaching. I don't think anyone wants that.
“ Great Sermon! ” From day 1, I have always adhered to the Lordship of Christ. Later on I read MacArthur's Lordship salvation books and my belief was strengthened. This sermon was outstanding and if someone listens to it, they cannot deny that If Christ isn't Lord, then He is not Savior.
“ Why So Few Comments? ” Praise God for this godly and courageous man who is walking by faith. Reminds me of Richard Wurmbrand who stood up when the other pastors sat silently under Communism. Anyone who knows history can easily hear the same lingo and see the same M.O. that the Communists have always used...only this time it's worldwide. Why is that? Well, I think God gave us a clue in scripture: "...the mystery of iniquity doth already work." Of course, the final administrator of this global Communism will be the Anti-Christ. Sad to see how many pastors just blindly move along with the crowd. Jesus did say, "...when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" "Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful." We know that we are not appointed to (God's) wrath, *but* we all (as faithful believers) may experience man's wrath before we are called up...as many brothers and sisters have down through the ages and continue to do all over the world. Over and over through scripture God tells us to be awake, be sober, to put on as a helmet the hope of salvation that has already been obtained by our Lord Jesus Christ. Whether we live or die, we will be with him, "Wherefore comfort yourselves **together**, and edify one another, even as also ye do." May God help us to obey Him!
“ A Willfully Deceived People ” The sermon caught my eye as a YouTube suggested video. JM lays out Scriptural proof that BLM values are antithetical to the Word of God's teachings on the righteous conduct of the people of God. The attack on the covenant of marriage, heterosexuality, fathers, and Christian values is in full force by BLM and JM pulls back the curtain on it. May God use this to wake up a slumbering nation before November turns into a bloodbath in America.
“ Great Sermon! ” I listened to a number of wonderful sermons o Sermon audio. Classic and old time preachers. This sermon was just a great blessing as any I heard. Thank you Jesus for allowing me to hear this one also.
“ Throw in with the Wicked? Never! ” Lots of text in this sermon. Pastor MacArthur wanted to make sure that you weren't hearing his opinion, only what the Word says.
You cannot join the wicked and expect to stay separate. Christians have no business throwing in their lot w people who hate God and His Christ (#BLM). Tragic that so many "Reformed" preachers, having removed the Gospel from their preaching, are steering their flock to embrace chaos.
“ Great Sermon! ” Thankyou for this timely message.I pray that Christians would listen and learn from it and not get caught up in these deceptive and ant-Christ protests.
“ Great Sermon! ” Faith without works is dead.
Except ye repent, ye shall likewise perish.
Then shall I say unto them (workers of iniquity), I never knew you.
If you HAVE faith, you will want to do the things God wants you to do, because it is at point of faith that the Holy Spirit comes and lives inside of you.
Jesus may qualify salvation solely by faith, but do not make the mistake of thinking that faith is just saying "I believe." True belief in Christ changes a man - if you have not experienced that change, do you truly have faith?
“ Great Sermon! ” Increasingly , I see this to be the Greatest need in the Church today. It sometimes drives me to tears when I hear and see the grave lack of discernment in the so-called Evangelical Churches and it’s Preachers. God help us !!
“ Super, Super Great Sermon! ” The Doctrine of the Mystery preached by Pastor Knapp of Tetelestai Church is another great sermon on this mystery.
