Timely The biblical truths preached here are sorely needed to shake contemporary Christians from their lethargic, lemming-like genuflection at the altar of Lord America. Idolatry is not patriotic.
Great Sermon! The teaching in this sermon series about Christ's position in the Holy Trinity is crucial to our fighting the tyranny of statism and egalitarianism that plagues our culture.
Great Sermon! A great sermon and wonderful Bible study!
This interesting topic is well explained with the use of much Scripture! Thank you!
This good speaker maintains the proper balance of the sovereignty of God and human responsibility!
Thank God that a full assurance of salvation is possible!
He that hath ears to hear, let him hear these words of comfort...
Great Sermon! Great teaching. Very balanced and much needed to be heard in todays worship invironment in the church. I have listened to the whole series and it is excellent. Would be great transcribed into a book for as many people to read and hear the truth about what is acceptable worship to God that the present day church has wandered away from.
Excellent Sermon! Excellent sermon! Thank you!
For many years I did not know that
we are passive in regeneration, but become active in our conversion.
This great truth is explained in a wonderful way in this marvelous message!
May God bless your ministry!
Everyone should hear this and listen to every word carefully!
Great Sermon! A great sermon with much to think about!
It is clear that this minister is a true Bible believer, and is called by God! He gives many verses to prove his points, etc.
Very clear and easy to understand!
Great Sermon! Governments are prone to idolatry because they deal in law which is always inherently religious.
It is in the nature of government to perpetuate itself. All politicians and parties will do anything to keep their power and authority.
John 11:47 The leaders said they had to get rid of Christ or they would lose their power and place.
If they would crucify Christ to keep their power they would sacrifice a Christian in a minute.
Corrupt depraved wicked men want to have dominion over other people rather than creation. Unsaved men like to play God. Moloch worship is the worship of the state - divine kingship - the divine right of kings - a political religion that claims absolute government and unlimited jurisdiction over man from the womb to the tomb.
Thus we have licensing over everything in our life.
We are not to fear false gods. Only God is God and is the absolute sovereign.
Prov 16:6 By the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.
Job 28:28 The fear of the Lord is to depart from evil and wickedness and embrace God and obey Him.
2 Kings 17:7,8 Walking in statutes of the heathen is to worship false gods. 13 Keep my commandments and statutes but they would not and followed other gods.
God here is going to enslave the Israelites for obeying civil rulers.
Great Sermon! Dr. Weaver,
I appreciate your plain preaching on this issue which is so misunderstood by, as you state, not only most Americans, but by Christians as well. Keep up the good work!

A Sobering Sermon, Indeed Please listen to this sermon on Southern Reconstruction in order to get a perspective on our society today. It was difficult to listen to because it made me so angry at the injustices of that time period and comparing them with the injustices that are still going on because of that time. This sermon will bring you to your knees to pray for the leaven of the gospel and faithful men to rise up in our nation. Praise the Lord for Pastor Weaver's boldness to educate people!
Outstanding Teaching on Lincoln's War! All of John Weaver's teaching is superb, and this series on the war on the South is one fabulous, comprehensive, revealing history lesson after another. It is so rare nowadays to find preaching that includes covenant theology as it relates to history, economics and politics. And with this powerful type of preaching (not to mention numerous biblical and historical references) Brother Weaver reveals the unitarian and humanistic nature of abolitionism and the real reason for Lincoln's war on the states, demonstrating why our country is governed like it is today. I highly recommend this series for anyone studying this period in history. I just can't say enough great things about it!
Great Sermon! Awesome sermon. John Weaver knows how to "put the hay out where the goats can get at it." His sermon is fast-moving, but meaty. He quickly dispels the myth of "Judeo-Christianity" and deals without apology with some biblical facts that aren't popular with "futurists", Zionists, etc. I don't fully agree with him on the spiritualizing of Israel, but he nails down so many facts that are danced around by others that this is a "must hear" series!
Great Sermon! Wonderful sermon. God finds food for his children and sometimes, the shepherd leads from afar. With the internet, He spreads His riches far and wide, PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME!
Prov.22:1 A GREAT name. Arguing about evolution around a campfire, one soldier piped up
"well, some men might 'pear to come from monkeys, but...
None less than God could make such a man as Mars' Robert"
Lee guarded his good name: and retained it by care of NOT selling out.
Prov.22:1 "A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold."
Thinking Biblically :natural creation order A 'beardless youth' had no respect:
our wimpy culture wants MEN to act and LOOK like women. A beard's an EXCELLENT way to disrespect the current mindset, and set oneself apart. Also a FUN presentation-no legalism here.
INSIGHT:(David's messengers were more ashamed of having their BEARDS half shaved, than of having their backsides exposed!)
REAL men wear beards!
Great and Enlightening Sermon! This is a very thorough and fearless sermon on a subject that confuses millions of Christians. I highly recommend this series "Who is Israel?" and consider it essential to biblical understanding.
Great Sermon! While I had come to the conclusion that God's natural creation order was clear on this issue, when I heard this sermon, I knew more fully why. Pastor Weaver really does a good job laying out the principles upon which a right decision on this issue is based.
Bottom line, men need to once again be men. They need to recover the lost place of covenantal headship that God intended for them, and the beard is a natural symbol of that position to which we are called. I hope you will prayerfully consider what the Lord would have you do after listening to this message.
