Great Sermon! we have the tele off on sunday although i let the boys watch top gear for half an hour at 9 in the evening which is as near family viewing as you can get these days i suppose it shouldnt be on at all ho hum the next step.......
Moving sermon! Challening and encouraging! I really loved listening to this sermon. It was a soul stirring and searching one for me and I am looking forward to sharing it with my family in our family worship.
Faith and repentance do not come in a vacuum, but only by the Spirit working by the word of God and prayer. May God bless this word to all who hear it.
A Word of Warning From 'The Golden Age of TV'! Though this message is dated 1993 in the description above, it actually dates to the late 1960s/early '70s (judging by references to Vietnam, the large number of Westerns on TV and the growing popularity of color sets). This message contains two separate topics: family worship for the first 34 minutes, with the remaining 25 addressing television in the home. It is fascinating to hear Pastor Wilson warn of the dangers of television programming from what we now consider a more innocent age and one some Christians turn to on DVD or TVLand for supposedly family-friendly shows. Even after 40 years, much of what Pastor Wilson says is still relevant. His warnings against using the TV as a babysitter and simply turning it on to relax without even knowing what is on are as timely now as then. I appreciated his encouraging Christians to leave it off on the Lord's Day. (A message too few heeded: If I remember correctly, Bonanza and The Wonderful World of Disney torpedoed attendance at Sunday evening services, which services are now held in only a handful of churches). An excellent complement to Wilson is Neil Postman, who long ago warned of the threat of television to the art of conversation and to sustained listening. No wonder so many church services resemble gaudy TV variety shows.
Great Sermon! Truly a great message from this servant of God. This was preached in 1994, and since then more delusions have spread about being born again. Many today say it is making your decision for Christ, but the truth is; it is a magnificent work of the power of the Holy Spirit. We need more preachers that will preach the true doctrine of regeneration!
Convicting Sermon I first thank God,and Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit for using Pastor Martin to deliver a message for such a time as this. This message should make every professing Christian and non-believer cry out to God and ask for mercy.
Great Sermon! very powerful message heard today, 4th Jan. 2010, by Pastor Albert N.Martin, most challenging for every believer, a must-hear! The only reservation was that no mention was made of the chosen elect of God.
But how needful to have such a heart-moving message. Thank you Pastor Martin. Hope to hear more from you.
Great Sermon! I've heard this Matthew 7 message, by different pastors over the years, but none can compare to Pastor Martin's expounding on this passage. I would go as far as saying, if a professing Christian is not moved by this, he has not the spirit of God. Powerfully convicting!

A must hear! I fear there are increasingly fewer reformed baptist ministers [and I am one] who would preach such a message. In such a day of confussion let us preach the truth plainly. This is "relevant" preaching [well before the term began an in thing]. If this was truth in 1981 who or what has changed? Has man changed? Have our children changed? Has the Bible changed? Let us return to the old paths. Let us preach the gospel and its implications plainly. May God help us!

Penetrating and powerful Within a few moments, Pastor Cook has your attention and you are eagerly following the story of Christ's gracious but pointed dealings with the woman at the well. We watch as Christ draws near to this needy woman and brings the good news to bear on her soul; simultaneously, Pastor Cook does the same with those hearing this sermon. Warmly recommended.
