Oh Lord, hear our hearts joined together in prayer.... I am joined with you, dear brother, in prayer for our nation and for the church of Jesus Christ who have been truly born again by the Spirit of God. We are in desperate need of a revival of broken repentance before Him. Lord deliver us of the sins of compromise, complacency and such lukewarm apathy. BREAK OUR hearts for the lost and dying across our land with Your heart. Help us to love as You love and to rescue those who are perishing. Give us eyes to see once again lest we be blinded and guilty of the Laodicean sin. Oh Lord, we the church who are called by Your name are in desperate need of awakening to Your call today.
Prayer For Revival The state of USA
I take my hat off to men like Joe Wright , a minister who was asked to open the new sessions of the Kansas Senate, in 1996 when everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:
THE PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask Your forgiveness and to seek Your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, "Woe to those who call evil good,," but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.
We confess:
We have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it Pluralism.
We have worshipped other gods and called it multiculturalism.
We have endorsed perversion and called it alternative lifestyle.
We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.
We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.
We have killed our unborn and called it choice.
We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem.
We have abused power and called it politics.
We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.
Powerful Anointed Truth!!! Thank you, sir! You have conveyed the cry of the Holy Spirit to the church! My heart is moved to tears. May the Spirit of brokenness cause all believers to fall upon our knees before our Savior in repentance and intercession for this dying generation...and deliver us from hardness of heart.
Preach The Criss Thank you for that fresh reminder, if the must to preach the Blood. You must get another Confernce, and give this message in it. Thank you
Jesus,The friend of sinners! Well peached Pastor!Yes..When friends or family desert and fail us,there is one who sticks closer than a brother..one who will never leave us nor forsake us..Christ Jesus..My faithful friend!
There is NO ONE like Him..NO ONE above Him..NO ONE next to him..HE IS MY ROCK!
Great Sermon! Thumbs up sermon! I like listening to your powerful sermons! People need to listen to this and to examine their thoughts and lives to see if they really are living their lives as a true saved, born again Christian or just a false front!
Power I've almost daily talk to people who can find a home church. They say that no one is preaching the Word anymore. In Las Vegas, a city with one of the most churches, it's hard to find a church that is preaching the Word. Awhile back while I was looking for a church, I went through 60 websites and viewed what the churches have all been Preachin over the past year on Sunday, and to my amazement, for a whole year they all are preaching mostly the same thing. Parenting, marriage, and your best life now. I'm hurt deeply like most true Christians over this. Revival most come.
Strong Sermon! Brother Johnston gives a realistic picture of what is happening in our nation and why judgment will follow if there is no repentance and revival. Unfortunately I see no movement in that direction and in fact I see it getting worse. I will continue praying but I see little hope for a positive change in our country. I read and study the Holy Bible even more now.
Great Sermon! Thank you, Brother Johnston. It is a helpful and sober reminder that the walk of us parents has great impact - good or bad - on our children. I seek to be more serious about prayer for the Lord's mercy on our family. Thank you.
Blessings Thank you faithful brother, and mentor. You take a stance in a time that most don't stand for anything. A stand and a alert watchman you ARE Dr. Johnston. Sometimes it's like preaching to a wall, but the Word of God will knock every brick on that wall soon. "Keep Preaching This message At all cost.
3:45 am PT I'm up in the middle of the night, an I'm greatly moved by your boldness and power of The Lord that is present in this message. We need for The Lord to come down today! Not tomorrow. Come Lord come.
Mind Blowingly True & Powerful One again a rare message that is hardly ever preached. Here in Las Vegas while I was searching for a new Church. I went through 50 church websites, and almost every church was preach the same message over a years time about self, marriage, me ,I. It's like the church is sleeping.
Thank you and God Bless you.
Guilty Gods zegen reverent Johnston.
As a father of two young boys I am deeply moved by your sermon. You are a tool in the hands of the Almigthy God. May this sermon never testify against me when I will stand before my Maker. I have a great responsibility towards my kids, and Im failing. Lord forgive us.
Thanks for your sermon.
Real preaching brings persecution Dr. Johnston - thank you again for providing a message that brings conviction and truth. I agree that Paul would be thrown out of most churches today. He preached the cross, not his own personal crisis. He preached about sin, not about how to be happy. My audience has been very blessed by yours messages! Thanks again for allowing us to share them. I'm praying for you.
Good Word! Thank you for this message!
When I hear preachers and teachers talk about "carnal Christians, I often wonder how they reconcile that view with scripture. For example, Phil. 2:13 says "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." God saves us where we're at, but He does not leave us there. True believers receive the grace of sanctification, which power works in us throughout our lives.
"Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be." (Rom. 8:7). If the carnal mind is enmity against God and not subject to His law, how can there be such a thing as a carnal Christian?
Dr. Johnston, you make a wonderful biblical case against the "carnal Christian" teaching, and it is a breath of fresh air!
