Stark contrast from today's worship Thank you for this message. Listen to that beautiful song at the end, those lyrics, and the beauty of the singing, too. Oh, what we have left behind us for the trinkets of today! Keep on preaching and thank you for the wounds, faithful friend.
Great Sermon! This is a very sobering message, the type we need so much more of in these last days! The kind that revivals are made of. In order to have conviction of sin to repent and turn to Christ, we need this kind of Holy Ghost convicting preaching. Thank you Dr. Johnston for your continued surrender to Jesus in yearning for lost souls and true salvation.
100% right This pastor is preaching straight truth! It causes me to get on my knees and ask for God to save me and set me free of the slavery of sin that I have allowed for decades. Thank you for preaching the truth. Thank you, God bless you.
Chilling Sermon! Well, if this does wake you up, nothing will. Extremely sobering sermon that you won’t be hearing in the vast majority of churches this Sunday. Yet, we desperately need it!
This Hits the Target! This direct message is at the heart of what we need today in both the Church, and in America! As the people of the state of Ohio just voted to enshrine abortion into their state constitution, the evidence of the need for a return to the fear of God Almighty is greater than ever. May Christ Jesus grant us His True Repentance!
Excellent Message! This was certainly a great message! Burns right to the heart! It is in the line of fiery preaching of yesteryear. Listen with a burdened heart!
Loved this!!! I loved the historical references to Edwards, Whitefield, Wesley, Nettleton in this message, and their relationship to revival themes on repentance, holiness, sin — and the First and Second Great Awakenings! The phrase “one -string violin” is truly choice!
Rare but needed Sermon! This is the kind of preaching we need more of today: messages of warning to convict us to turn to God and Christ in repentance. This should be required listening!
Another hard-hitting message! Sadly, this message exposes the truth of repentance-less “conversion” and so-called decisions for Christ without conviction of sin, brokenness, or repentance. An increasingly sad reality … the convicting power and work of the Holy Spirit in conversion is not often taught and preached. People no longer fear Hell.
Fiery Sermon! If I could, I’d love that every person, no matter where they are in life — would shut off all distractions (TV, music, games, social media) and get alone to listen to this message! It could be the difference between Heaven and Hell for them — IF they would respond to it in genuine repentance.
Short message with a lot of punch! …. Dr Johnston is correct! We need to become God-fearing people again — individually, as the church, and as a nation! I see more and more unBiblical “ministries” these days, such as the so-called “Christian comedian” that has no other purpose than to soften our need for seriousness and repentance. Natural appropriate laughing and joy can be normal in the Christian life, but to design and build a ministry on making people laugh over and over again, and usually at nonsense and stupidity, is NOT what we need in this hour! We need to call a solemn assembly, humble ourselves, and shed tears of brokenness for our sins, and those of a complacent, lukewarm, sleeping church!
