love this sermon The only thing I would say is that in the KJV, when Paul uses the word "committed", couldn't that mean as if someone being committed to say, like Rusk or a nursing home...not by our own will??
Thanks, Brian! So grateful for this teaching! I’m reading “The Glory of Christ” by John Owen and I expect these sermons to be helpful in “looking to Jesus.” From Texas!
Great Sermon! Great sermon ! Good to hear a preacher speak the truth of what God says about the abortion issue . Silence Isn’t silence …it’s speaks loud and clear. may God bless you. Every church needs to speak out…the German church was silent while 6 million Jews and many others were murdered . Bonhoeffer stood up and He is an example we must learn from. Thank you.
Praise God for the Book of Romans! I’m constantly drawn to the Book of Romans and Brian does a phenomenal job of explaining and teaching and preaching it. We were both taught by James Andrews at different times and we are grateful for his wisdom and teaching of Romans.
Jeremy, praise God for Gods work in and through you, blessed by it I agree completely
Angels can’t procreate
Nor be given in marriage
This is using scripture to come
To explanation instead of using an explanation from another example and apply it , but either interpretation wont best much weight in the final draw but it will effect your view on a few other things
Great Sermon! This sermon needs to be listened to by every true Christian at least once a month. How far we stray, and how much we need to be reminded that it doesn't matter in the eyes of our Father. THANK YOU, brother, for this gut-wrenchingly gorgeous message. Solo Deo Gloria!
One of the best on Mortification This is so practical and much needed in understanding sanctification, killing our sin, and what walking in the Spirit really means.
Exposition on Fire The kind of preaching that informs the mind, pricks the heart, and encourages the soul is hard to find. Pastor Borgman delivers all of the above. I can never get enough of the gospel! Thank you Lord Jesus for the gift of salvation! And, thank you pastor Borgman for the blessing of your faithful preaching.
Great Sermon! What a comfort this sermon was for me! I’m one of those very timid Christians who is always afraid to share the gospel, because I don’t like confrontations and because I sinfully put the burden on myself, rather than on the Lord. This sermon reminded me that the gospel is not only Just about words, but that it comes to people with the power of the Holy Spirit. No one will be saved by MY words, but only by the words and the power of Almighty God. What a wonderful truth, that relieves me of thinking I have to say it all perfectly!
Legalists: Ruthless and Sadistic It should be noted that legalists like Doug Phillips are and were ruthless and sadistic. This is because legalism weighs others down with self-righteous dictates which are seen as a "test of righteousness", more like a test of self-righteousness. Also, legalists are sadistic and ruthless in the sense that they take pleasure in abusing others in the name of "defending righteousness", even though legalists are defending their self-righteousness when abusing others. In short, legalism and self-righteousness teach that compassion is a sign of "weakness", while cruelty is regarded as a sign of "strength" by legalists. According to Romani 01 (Romans 01), particularly Romani 01:29-32 (Romans 01:29-32), there is a list of offenses and offenders worthy of death, both physical death and spiritual death! One of the offenses worthy of death listed are maliciousness, murder, ruthlessness, and slander, all of which self-righteous legalists are and were guilty of! Even self-righteousness and legalism is an offense worthy of death according to Romani 01:29-32! One day, all self-righteous legalists will die. This podcast is a plea to repent of all manner of self-righteousness and legalism, which is worthy of death in and of itself!
