Spiritual growth which is also the pursuit of holiness of life which is also referred to by the theological term sanctification will be in progress in the life of every believer. While not always consistent and moving ahead, nonetheless, over time it will be in process and be the evidence of genuine saving faith. Every believer has the indwelling presence and power of the Holy Spirit of God which is the enablement of the believer as the new life is lived in submission to the new source of power and dominion over the heart and mind. God says there is a mutual abiding in the relationship of the believer with Him. The Spirit of God works through the Word of God in that growth process so learning and living out the Word is vital for every believer who will find continual nourishment for the soul.
