We will have a church dinner after service next Sunday, Nov. 23rd to celebrate Kyndon Keesee’s 10th birthday. WHY DID CHRIST COME?
Almost everyone knows that Christ came to earth as a man about 2,000 years ago. However, most people do not know WHY Christ came. Christ did not come to give people a chance to be saved. Christ did not come to save people who are good enough to deserve to be saved. Christ did not come to save good people at all. Our Lord said, “They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to all the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (Mark 2:17). Christ came to save sinners! The apostle Paul said, “This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief” (I Tim. 1:15). Christ took the sin of His people away by being made sin for them and putting their sin away with the blood of His sacrifice (II Cor. 5:21).
So the question is are you a sinner? Are you a sinner who cannot do anything to save yourself? Are you the worst of sinners? If you are, come to Christ and beg for mercy, for Christ came to save sinners.
He is altogether lovely. He the fairest of the fair. On Him alone through life I can depend. Oh all language fails completely when I try to tell the world of the loveliness of Christ my Lord and Friend.

If God is sovereign, and He is (Daniel 4:35); if we are begotten of God according to His own will, and we are (James 1:18); if the new birth is not a result of the will of man, and it most certainly is not (John 1:13); then what is being preached from most pulpits is not from God. Brethren, listen to the message that is being preached and if it contradicts God’s Word, COME AWAY FROM IT! Irreverence to the inspired Word of God breeds irreverence to God Himself.

NEVER ASHAMED
“For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed” (Rom. 10:11). The holy, inerrant Word of God tells us that no one who believes on Christ will be ashamed in the day of judgment. No one who believes on Christ will ever be ashamed to stand before God. There can be no shame for the believer because the Lord Jesus Christ our Substitute bore all of our guilt and shame away when He was made sin and died on the cross at the hand of God’s justice. If by God’s grace I have been made just like Christ, what do I have to be ashamed of? Nothing!
There is nothing accidental in the conversion of a sinner. If a man be saved, and called with a holy calling in time, it is according to God’s purpose and grace given him in Jesus Christ before the world began.

THY PEOPLE SHALL BE WILLING..." Psalm 110:3
God's elect worship and serve Him with willing hearts. We willingly believe, willingly worship, willingly give, and willingly do what we can for the glory of God. It is God Who, by effectual grace, makes us willing; but we are willing servants of the Most High God! Any worship, service, or gifts offered to God that is not done with a willing heart is an abomination to Him.
