The moral commands of God are clear in the old and new Testament ,Ten commandments in Deuteronomy Chp 5 are the same as Paul gives in Ephes.,chapters 4-6v1-2.Read them and you will see the command to have One God,not to steal,not to take Gods name in vain-Let not evil words proceed from your mouth,Honour thy mother and father Ephes chpt 6 v1-2 read all these verses ,every one of the Ten Commandments are there except the Lords Day which is in Rev. etc.Now am I to ignore them because we are not under the law now?did Paul write them in vian? I think not.You cant have the Gospel and no commandments to live by ,they are there to help us not to give in to sin.Thats why Paul uses them,otherwise you must take out alot of the New testament and refuse its use.Which is sinful.When we are tempted we quote the Bible ,thats all Paul is using the law for,what could be wrong with that.True we obey God by Grace in the Spirit,but not seperate from Gods will or His word.We are told not to take from the Word of God.I wonder what such people do when they come to Ephes.chapters 4-6,if they think the law is over.Do they skip it?surely they must ,the verses which are on the law,if they say its all over.Well Paul was not one of them he was proud to quote them.The law is dead as far as our self Justification is concerned,it can never bring that.Only Christ gives this and freely Rom Chapt.7.But do we do away with the law? Rom 7 God forbid says Paul.We uphold it....end of the matter.
